Ready to Rumble? Stuff Those Stockings!!

Attention parents!--does it seem like as your child grows, your savvy offspring’s holiday stocking grows, too? Did you actually believe that trip to Big Lots was just meant to save money, rather than to procure a BIG receptacle for loot? Fear not, if your kid can fit both arms into that thing hanging by the fireplace, the new Pokémon card game Pojo showcased last week, Rumble, HAS finally hit store shelves as of this past weekend and should fill up a good sized gap in the stocking. Several websites last week reported no store sightings quite yet, but as you can see by my picture, I found this at Wal-mart in the TCG aisle for $9.98 (remember Pojo’s was sent from Nintendo directly—and I eagerly await his review! J). Also, while at Wal-mart, I found these cool sparkly holographic background Pokémon stickers from American Greetings, 3 sheets for $1.88 (list $1.99), sure to help fill out the toe of a small stocking.

For the more discriminating collector, I also located two new Japanese manga issues at the import shop which you can hunt down online from importers. Issue 33 of Pocket Monsters Special has landed, ISBN978-4-09-140868-6, with Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie gracing the cover! Issue 8 of Diamond and Pearl Adventure is also here, ISBN978-4-09-140855-6.

Not done filling the foot-shaped chasm? TRU did have some new Pokémon pop balls, this wave including a Yanma and a Shaymin.
