It's Time to Shop!

What a shopping trip Friday!  First I hit my local Japanese market and found the May CoroCoro; as noted on several websites, it contained a special comic book insert, half of which is the first part of the new, upcoming Pokemon movie in Japan this summer.  It looks like I will have to wait for my own copy of the leaked Black/White starter Pokemon pix—that would be the June issue…

Next I hit TRU—wow, they finally are getting new stock!  The HGSS single figures were replenished; they finally got the HGSS 3 pack figures that Target has had for over a month; plus, check out the new Pop Balls!  Yo, omahanime!  It’s BUNEARY!  They also have Pachirisu, Buizel and Gengar in this wave.  I had not ever purchased a Pop Ball before, but this Buneary was just too cute!

No sign of the new Unleashed TCG blister promo packs in my area (Central OH) just yet; I’m counting on omahanime to find these for Pojo!
 
Last, and most importantly-!  It’s convention season!  I hit my local Anime Palace, based in CA and OH; they just got in a HUGE shipment!  They had tons of new plush, figures and swag.  Small plush included a Banpresto “rivals” set with Pikachu, Meowth, Wobuffett, Mime Jr., and Carnivine.  They also had the Bandai candy-toy figures, clipping figures and larger candy-toy figures.  The clipping figure set looked like it included characters from the Arceus movie (when IS that coming to DVD here?).  You can catch Anime Palace and other import vendors by hitting up your local anime/game conventions this summer.  Oh… hehe… Yes, the BIG Banpresto plush…  RAICHU!  I shot him front and rear so you can see just how cute.  Expect to pay a little more for this charming fellow, as this set was 2:1 Pikachu: Raichu.  I think my pix came out a little better this time; I have to apologize for the last few—it’s hard to avoid glare on blister packs, so I avoided flash.  But then I ended up with a blurry picture, as exposure time lengthened (and hands can’t hold steady beyond 1/30 sec. for you camera nuts out there).  Creative use of tissue over the flashbulb this time…
