I've read in business news online that Tomy is set to take over the U.S. Pokémon toy contract in 2013, so it hasn't really surprised me that Pokémon toys are starting to dwindle on shelves as the last of the Jakks items are slowly sold off to holiday shoppers.  I'd wondered for a while would there be a final wave of plush, having seen some Target exclusive Ash + Pokémon figures over the summer; Jakks had churned out three of four seasonal Deerllings so... but having checked Pojo sponsor Toywiz.com's website yielded no clues.

  
 
Imagine my surprise to find a new wave of plush at Toys 'R' Us today, considering this and the fact that TRU is having a buy one get one 50% off sale on what few Jakks Pokémon items are left.  Alas, I only found two plush, Winter Deerling and Darumaka.  I have no idea what other plush are in this wave; I hastily checked E-Bay for the Darumaka but this mini plush was not listed yet.  You can bet I'll be hovering near toy shelves before Black Friday, hoping other pieces in this wave will show up.  I'm guessing maybe four others, if Jakks goes with the number they've recently boxed per wave.
 
In the meantime, there are plenty of trading card blisters, packs, tins and boxes to keep everyone's stocking stuffed.
