Top 10 Trainers Lost to Rotation
by Muk Man
July 16, 2007

10. Full Flame- 40 damage and no evolving out of it. Will be missed with the next set.

9. Giant Stump- A surprise tech in many different decks, could save you prizes. And/or cripple you opponents set up

8. Energy Root- Plus 20 to anyone including basics. I put one on a dunsparce just to get the extra turn to attach energy. And with Strong level X pokemon being able to use it, it still had a lot of potential

7. Mr. Brinneys Compassion- as soon as we have strong NON-EX pokemon to build decks around we lose Brinneys. That just sucks.

6. Mary’s Request- The Single advantage that stage 1s have over stage 2s is speed and mary’s is one of the reasons, but now with low cost attacks stage 2s are just as fast

5. Pokemon Reversal- !!! No it was not reprinted, it may come in a future set, but as of right now I haven’t heard or seen different so. Sorry T2 decks no reversal for you

4. Holon Farmer- being able to discard farmer early in the game knowing that at any moment you could transceiver it back was a very nice option. Now you’ll have to hold your retrieval card in hand the whole game and hope you don’t need it. Plus you cold re-use the same farmer and save deck space

3. Holon Scientist- Man talk about options, play instant catch up to your opponent by matching his hand. And it’s strait draw! So good, so long.

2. Cursed Stone- Making your opponent pay just for having powers, This card made the entire meta-game run counter stadiums or windstorm, for fear of giving up easy powers. And made decks rogue decks like Super Stantler or Kingler d Competitive

1. Holon Transceiver- Remember VS seeker… that let you grab supporters from your discard, But no one played it. So PUI decided to “Level UP” your VS seeker. Search your deck OR discard for any supporter with Holon in it’s name! Then to boot there was a Holon equivalent to every supporter in the game TVR=Adventurer  Celios/Elms=Researcher Lanettes=Mentor Copycat=Scientist. With one card giving you so many options along with so many other Holon supporters and pokemon staying with us, it is surprising it was not reprinted.
