Top 6 Pokemon (Team Lists)
From: Jet Warrior [mailto:jetwarrior_05@yahoo.com]

Subject: Da Crew from Pokemon Gold - Jet Warrior
This is the crew from Pokemon Gold. It s changed a lot, and
some pokemon can be substituted for others (and I ll include
them at the end of the list). But here are the main six:
TYRANITAR (Blackglasses)
Move set:
Surf
Rock Slide
Crunch
Earthquake
Probably the most versatile on the team, He provided the
ground-type attack to take care of all of those who don t
like ground-types (like electric- and rock-types), but had a
distinct advantage in that he also took care of flying-types
and ice-types, who bother grounds. Not to mention that he is
the anti-psychic of the group. He has a problem with
water-types, and under no circumstances should he EVER go
against a fighting-type. He also doesn t have the
ground-type invulnerability to electrics, though that really
shouldn t matter much,
TOGETIC (Sharp Beak)
Move set:
Metronome
Fly
Double-Edge
Sweet Kiss
Believe this or not, he was my highest level Pokemon out of
this group. The fly-guy acts as a bug repellent, and he
stirs up trouble with Metronome and Sweet Kiss. And
Double-Edge is there for moral support, though if you want,
it can be replaced with Hyper Beam. Both have their
disadvantages.
ESPEON (Twistedspoon)
Move set:
Bite
Psychic
Morning Sun
Quick Attack
No other psychics can touch her with Bite, and Morning Sun
keeps her going. Quick Attack can be replaced with something
like Swift or Sand-Attack.
AMPHAROS (Magnet)
Move set:
Thunder
Thunderpunch
Thunder Wave
Flash
One of my favorite pokemon. He has so much Special Attack
that either Thunder or Thunderpunch will kill on the first
turn. Thunder Wave to slow everyone else down (cuz this guy
is slow). Flash to throw people off and to have it in your
party.
GYARADOS (Mystic Water)
Move set:
Hydro Pump
Surf
Rain Dance
Thrash
Pure hitter. No status attacks. Has Rain Dance to help out
himself and Ampharos (and, unfortunately, any other
electric-type pokemon). Also my favorite Pokemon of all. P.
S.: I don t like Hyper Beam, just in case anyone was
wondering.
HO-OH (Charcoal)
Move set:
Fly
Recover
Sacred Fire
Fire Blast
With Recover, he lasts all day. If you don t feel like
having both Sacred Fire and Fire Blast, substitute Fire
Blast for Sunny Day so you can counter if anyone (including
yourself) uses Rain Dance (Sacred Fire, while being only
slightly less powerful, is WAY more accurate, and has a 50%
chance of causing a burn).
That is Da Crew. This team as a whole has a definite type
advantage over all types except Dragon- and Normal-types,
and even they can be taken care of by substituting certain
pokemon for certain other ones. Here they are:
ARTICUNO (Nevermeltice)
Move set:
Ice Beam
Blizzard
Sky Attack
Fly
The highest level pokemon that I trained period. Dragon- and
Grass-types cower in fear of this guy. As do bugs and
grounds, And as most rock types are also ground, he can
usually hit them where it hurts, as well (although Tyranitar
and Aerodactyl will cause trouble). Fire types aren t too
good either. Substitute for Togetic.
POLIWRATH (Mystic Water or Blackbelt)
Move set:
Surf
Submission
Hypnosis
Ice Punch or Ice Beam
Many people would go for the Mind-Reader/Dynamicpunch combo
on this guysome would even be zealous enough to get Fissure
in there. But I like him with Submission. Submission is
quick and no-nonsense, and is pretty powerful on this guy
(and trying to get Fissure is too much work for me!).
Hypnosis is there only for status. Substitute for Gyarados.
DONPHAN (Soft Sand)
Move set:
Earthquake
Rollout
Strength
Sandstorm
Get him from Crystal as a level 3 Phanpy. Earthquake is
crazy powerful on him; I used it once on Ash s Lv.81 Pikachu
when Donphan was level 40-something, and Pikachu fainted.
Sandstorm is make things crazy for everyone. Rollout is to
take care of Flying-types who think they can get away from
this guy because he is a Ground-type. Substitute for
Tyranitar (at your own risk).
