Top 6 List: Double Battles
Hey, it’s Kyle again. My R/S list went well, so I thought I’d show all the loyal Pojo readers my Double Battle list, straight from Colosseum. Hope you like it.
Name: Espeon Type(s): Psychic Gender: Male Nature: Timid Ability: Synchronize Item: Petaya Berry Move Set: Psychic Bite HP Fire Morning Sun
Strategy: Basic Special Sweeper. More of a loner than a team player, though he covers many weaknesses.
Name: Umbreon Type(s): Dark Gender: Female Nature: Bold Ability: Synchronize Item: Leftovers Move Set: Calm Mind Reflect Rest Faint Attack
Strategy: Tank. Again, a loner, but she can buy the team some time if needed. She also makes use of Faint Attack in conjunction with Calm Mind, STAB (Same Type Attack Boost), and Perfect Accuracy.
Name: Ninjask Type(s): Bug/Flying Gender: Female Nature: Impish Ability: Speed Boost Item: Liechi Berry Move Set: Swords Dance Endure Silver Wind Baton Pass
Strategy: Easily the core of the team. Boost Attack & Speed. Then hand off to Togetic/Breloom.
Name: Togetic Type(s): Normal/Flying Gender: Female Nature: Modest Ability: Serene Grace Item: King’s Rock Move Set: Fire Blast Psychic Magical Leaf Water Pulse
Strategy: Abuse Serene Grace. All attacks except Magical Leaf have a side effect that SG augments + King’s Rock throws in Flinching as well.
Name: Golduck Type(s): Water Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Ability: Cloud Nine Item: Liechi Berry Move Set: Psych Up Aerial Ace Brick Break HP Ground
Strategy: I expect a LOT of hate mail after this one. Is it too farfetched an idea to have a mono-WATER as a Physical Sweeper? It snags a boost from Ninjask with Psych Up and sweeps. Also covers both weaknesses.
Name: Breloom Type(s): Grass/Fighting Gender: Female Nature: Adamant Ability: Effect Spore Item: Leftovers Move Set: Mach Punch Spore Giga Drain HP Ghost
Strategy: The ever-hated Mixed Sweeper. I poured EVs into Special Attack, Attack, and HP. With the BP’d boost from the Ninja-bug, it’s rather quick, and NOTHING tops its Attack. I mean, Come on! A 130 base rivals an ever-popular Four-armed Fighter, then when you throw in the EV’s, Ninjask’s boost and Liechi…
If you like/dislike this set, Email me at annie0913@bellsouth.net. Also, If you have any recommendations, they are accepted & encouraged, so feel free to send them in. Also, I accept “hate mail” so long as a compelling argument and reason is presented (i.e. don’t send something like, “You suck becuz Golduck Sucks becuz Golduck is blue and blue sucks!!! P.S. You suck!!) Note: spelling and grammatical errors are present to demonstrate the lack of mental fortitude of those who send such letters.
“Never argue with a fool. They drag you down to their level, and then beat you with experience.”
Kyle Theaker
P.S. If LudaJr2000 is reading this, please look to any of the first 3 teams posted, as they could easily top your dragons. There’s more than pure power, LudaJr
