Zapdos.
# 145.
Type: Electric/Flying.
Ability: Pressure.
Locations: Power Plant (FireRed, LeafGreen), Snag from Cipher
Boss Greevil (Pokémon XD).
Hi everyone. This week belongs to Zapdos, so let’s get down to
business.
The fastest and most used of the legendary birds. Zapdos has a
decent but very limited move pool. Let’s face it; No egg moves =
Not very versatile Pokémon. Its ability is still useless. I hate
that Pressure. Zapdos is a good special sweeper but also learns
drill peck, which is good against Blissey and Snorlax. So Zapdos
is not that bad, is it?
Anyway, let’s move on… The suggested move combinations…
Zapdos.
Nature: Hardy.
Equip: Leftovers.
EV´s: 252 Speed, 129 Attack, 129 Special Attack.
- Drill peck
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute
Drill peck for Snorlax or Blissey. Substitute and thunder wave
is a good combination if you want to sweep. But you only have
Thunderbolt for that. So, use it so be safe…
Zapdos.
Nature: Timid (+Speed, -Attack).
Equip: Petaya berry.
EV´s: 252 Speed, 252 Special Attack, 6 HP.
- Thunder
- Rain dance
- Thunder Wave
- HP water
The rain dancer. Works ok, not much to say about this one…
When should I use this Pokémon?
Good bye Gyarados. The little sea worm won’t even touch Zapdos,
so now you have an idea right? Use it when raining as well.
Finally, use the first one against Blissey and Snorlax, as I
said before (drill peck).
What should I use against this Pokémon?
A Rock type is going to work, I think. Just make sure your Rock
slide or Ancient Power is strong enough.
Bottom line:
It is fun sometimes. But boring in long-term Pokémon training
because its limited Movepool…
Rating:
2.5/5
Hope you enjoyed.
Reeve.
By the way. Last week I reviewed Articuno, not Aticuno… Sorry
about that…
