Reeve
Tyranitar.
# 248.
Type: Rock/Dark.
Ability: Sandstream.
Locations: Evolve Pupitar (Firered, Leafgreen, XD), Snag from
Cipher Head Evice (Colosseum).
Hi everyone. Another Reeve’s favorite this week, this big guy is
an important part of my team. Why? Because Tyranitar wins
battles. It is awesome in late game and an important part of a
good strategy in doubles.
Tyranitar’s weak point is speed. Fortunately, it learns Dragon
Dance. Some of you might think Sandstream is a bad thing.
Sandstorm could hit your own team, but not if you know how to
build a T-tar team OR when to call Tyranitar. Remember I told
you this Pokémon is great in late game.
This week’s suggested move combination; Tyranitar has a very
wide move pool, but there’s a standard combination that’s very
easy to use and very effective as well.
The Physical attacker Tyranitar is very simple. Use dragon dance
once or twice, then Sweep away. You could use Taunt instead of
Aerial ace and you have a different set, effective as well…
When should I use this Pokémon?
Use it in late game. Do not open battles with this one unless
you have the correct team. Works great against Blissey and
Miltank as well. Use the Taunt set for Umbreon or Crobat.
What should I use against this Pokémon?
Anything with a strong Fighting move. Tyranitar has a combined
rock-dark type. So it is 4x weak to Fighting. A fast enough
Blaziken could one-hit KO Tyranitar. Even Hitmonlee might work.
Just be sure you have a fast Pokémon with a fighting attack and
you’ll be ok.
Bottom line:
I love this one. But most of you will find Sandstream as a
disadvantage. Use it if you feel like. I think you’ll be quite
satisfied with the results.
Rating:
4/5
Hope you enjoyed.
