Snorlax.
# 143.
Type: Normal.
Ability: Immunity, Thick fat.
Locations: Routes 12 and 16 (FireRed, LeafGreen), Snag from
Cipher Admin Ardos (XD).
Hi everyone. Today we’re reviewing the fat, slow and lazy
pokémon. That’s right. Say hi to Snorlax.
Snorlax has a lot of HP, and pretty good attack and special
defense. It is a decent sweeper and might survive fighting
pokémon with its big HP. Bad news? Snorlax is very slow. So you
better sweep good or Snorlax will not be as good…
Its ability immunity is great; Snorlax can’t be poisoned this
way. Thick fat is nothing so great. So let’s focus on Immunity
to get an advantage against toxistallers.
Now, for the move combination, let’s make two good and fun
combinations for this chubby guy…
Snorlax.
Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, -Special Attack).
Equip: Leftovers.
EV´s: 252 HP, 129 Attack, 129 Defense.
- Curse
- Return
- Earthquake
- Rest
Curse and sweep. Some might prefer to use belly drum, but I
don’t, because Snorlax won’t survive a lot with belly drum, even
resting. Let’s attack instead of that. Be careful with Gengar,
because Earthquake won’t hit it. Instead of that, you could use
shadow ball.
Snorlax.
Nature: Impish (+ Defense, -Special Attack).
Equip: Leftovers.
EV´s: 252 HP, 129 Special Defense, 129 Defense.
- Toxic
- Return
- Protect
- Rest
I don’t like this one very much. But I know it work. Use toxic,
return and protect. Rest when necessary. Switch if you see a
strong fighting Pokémon, they can one-hit KO Snorlax.
When should I use this Pokémon?
Use it as a physical sweeper, you need a solid one.
Unfortunately, Snorlax is not that good. But with Curse, Snorlax
is guaranteed to beat one or two foes (if used correctly).
What should I use against this Pokémon?
Gengar, maybe our classical Skarmory. Both work great. Just be
careful as your foe´s Snorlax might have shadow ball.
Bottom line:
Good, but no that good. Anyway, it’s a classic.
Rating:
3/5
Hope you enjoyed.
