Hi everyone. Welcome to another Pokémon of the Week. Today we’re reviewing Forretress, the bagworm Pokémon
Forretress is an awesome an very useable Pokémon. Unfortunately for many players, it is a spiker, and most of you might prefer Skarmory. But hey, let’s give Forretress a chance; it is almost as good as Skarmory is. As a spiker, you need to know exactly what you’re doing or it will not work properly.
Its ability is pointless for the strategy, just for the record, it will stop OHKO moves.
As our spiker, we need to make a decent move combination, so here you go…
Forretress.
Nature: Impish (+ Defense, - Special attack).
Equip: Leftovers.
EV´s: 252 Defense, 129 HP, 129 Special defense.
- Spikes
- Rapid spin
- Earthquake
- Explosion
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Forretress is not only a good spiker, but a very effective spinner as well. Remember so throw as many spikes as possible, then earthquake or switch if convenient. Choose a correct timing to explode, because your opponent might switch.
When should I use this Pokémon?
I would recommend this one for experienced trainer, as the spikes and spinner strategies are kind of advanced.
What should I use against this Pokémon?
It’s time for your fire special sweepers. Salamence with fire blast is OHKO.
Bottom line:
Great supporter, just remember to switch, it is not a sweeper…
