Hi everyone. Welcome to another Pokémon of the Week. Today we’re
reviewing Manectric, the discharge Pokémon.
Manectric has very high speed and special attack. Unfortunately
that’s about it. It is often compared to Jolteon and this one
always loses to it. It learns crunch which is kind of a decent
attack. Its move pool is also limited.
Both abilities are good. Static paralyzes (which is always an
advantage) and lighting rod is great in double battles (which
aren’t as usual as they used to be around here).
This is also a potential thunder dancer, so let’s skip that for
today shall we? Instead of it we have…
This is not a very good special sweeper; thunderbolt and HP are
for type advantage. Paralyze, substitute and attack. I have also
seen attract on this one, forcing a switch. So try it if you
feel like.
This is kind of the sweeper. I don’t think this works great but
it is a decent move set for this one.
When should I use this Pokémon?
As your electric type I guess. Unfortunately for Manectric, it’s
never going to beat Jolteon or Magneton.
What should I use against this Pokémon?
Ground types anyone? Physical weepers also work fine Remember
the static ability.
Bottom line:
Not as good as Jolteon, sorry, but decent anyway.

Hope you enjoyed.

Manectric a shocking dog
pokemon I like this pokemon stage 1 can get in the early game
that hard for electric pokemon, I prefer static, over lightning
rod, a chance of paralyzing something is great shocking isn’t
it, I love the speed and special attack on this guy, Roar gives
this guy a lot of disruption, he can us protect and some people
use him with rain dance But I got to go so let me wrap this up
I’m pretty sure reeve can give you lots of info.
But I will love to give him a 4/5
Groudon out
Oh yeah poke fact
Manectric EX is a beast in pokemon when put together with mew ex
in a deck called Mewtric.

Hey everyone, this is my first
review so be kind. If you ever have comments or questions on any
pokemon games or about yu-gi-oh or naruto, email me at thesannin@yahoo.com.
I'm an aggressive player so that will explain some of my
reviews. I will be reviewing for the GBA games at least until
D/P come out in the U.S. and I can get a copy. Now for my first
review - Manectric.
Pros:
High Speed
High Special Atk
Static
Cons:
Low Defense
Low Special Defense
Manectric is one of my favorites from R/S/E. I definitely have a
thing for pokemon with high speed and atk or special atk. My
move set for him would be this:
Item: Leftovers
Thunderbolt
Crunch
Hidden Power (Ice)
Thunder Wave
other moves would be Thunder (only if you have one or more rain
dancers) and Substitute.
I would give him Static for sure. Overall, a great pokemon, just
watch out for Laturn and Quagsire, as they could become
problems.

Manectric
#310
Type: Electric
Ability(s): Static
Lightning Rod
Locations: Evolve Electrike
Route 118
Today we are reviewing the discharge Pokemon, Manectric.
At first glance, Manectric looks to be the usual electric
Pokemon with Static as its ability, but it does have potential.
With the Static ability, if a Pokemon would attack with contact,
there would be a 30% chance of that Pokemon becoming paralyzed.
Also, having static as the ability would free up an attack spot
that would be used for thunder wave.
Then in double battles, Manectric is great. Having lightning rod
insures a water Pokemon or a flying Pokemon doesn’t get hit with
an electric attack.
With that said, here are some strategies for Manectric:
Manectric
Nature: Timid (+speed, -attack)
EV’s: 252 speed, 252 special attack, 6 hp
Ability: Static
Equip: Salac Berry
-Thunderbolt (TM 24)
-Crunch (Egg Move)
-Hidden Power (Grass or Water)(TM 10)
-Double Team (TM 32)
Basic special sweeper here. Double Team is there to annoy your
opponent.
Manectric
Nature: Modest (+special attack, -attack)
EV’s: 252 speed, 252 special attack, 6 hp
Ability: Lightning Rod
Equip: Salac Berry
-Thunder (Lvl 45)
-Hidden Power (Water)(TM 10)
-Rain Dance (TM18)
-Thunder Wave (Lvl 4 as Electrike)
This is the double battle Manectric. When teamed with a water
Pokemon (like Kyogre), this Manectric can be a real pain.
Thunder Wave is used to slow opponent’s down. Rain Dance is
there just if your opponent would happen to remove the rain from
the field.
Bottom Line: Manectric is just an average Pokemon with average
abilities.
