Seviper. # 336. Type: Poison. Ability: Shed skin. Locations: Route 208 (Sapphire inserted into DS). Hi everyone. Welcome to another Pokémon of the Week. Today we’re reviewing Seviper, the fang snake Pokémon. Seviper is useful for one thins and one thing only; offensive. Being pretty bad in just about everything else, it is a slow, non defensive sweeper. The bad speed stat is one major disadvantage for Seviper, but it can be helped with some team strategy. Shed Skin is good; paralysis is a pretty common status. The only problem is that you need to last some turns to totally use this ability. Let’s move on to the move combinations, let’s see what’s up with this guy… Seviper. Nature: Modest (+ Special attack, - Attack). Equip: Petaya berry. EV´s: 252 Special attack, 252 HP, 6 Defense. - HP poison/water - Dark pulse - Giga drain - Scary face Baton pass some speed to this and you will be safe for some turns, then use scary face and sweep. HP poison is good but if you are facing Houndoom you might want to try water. When should I use this Pokémon? Once again, underused battles can be surprisingly fun. A poison special sweeper is kind of hard to find. What should I use against this Pokémon? Being that slow, any earthquake user can easily one hit KO Seviper. Psychic types are very effective too. Bottom line: I’d say Seviper is a pretty bad Pokémon in terms of official competition environment. Sorry Jessie. Rating: 1.5/5 Hope you enjoyed. Reeve.

Nibbles anyone? Seviper, Love this one from Emerald in a battle tent when you borrow, it took out all other trainers. Name: Seviper Ability: Shed Skin Type: Poison Nature: Naughty (+Atk, -S.Def) Item: Life Orb EV's: 252 S.Atk, 252 Atk (Speed) Ability is kinda...meh, what I think. Every turn has 33% to cure from a status infliction, good but that low chance? Nature was hard to pick. Chose to lower its S.Def and raising its attack. Life Orb to make some extra damage. Weakness are Ground and Psychic, but it got a bunch of resistances. Attacks: 1) Night Slash 2) Poison Jab 3) Flamethrower 4) Earthquake This is an all out attacking pokemon, not much of its attack that it can learn are defensive. Only one and it's Protection. Hope I don't have to guide you through this one. Man, if it only could learn some other attacks it would be great. Rating: 2.15/5 Anyone got Jotho-starters for trade? Anyone? Pretty please.
