We
continue comparing evolutions this week. This not only happens
with Scyther and Scizor, there are different ways of evolution
and we might be analyzing these in the next few weeks. It has
the same abilities as Scyther and their base stats are just
different, but they are not that different either. Scizor is an
excellent physical sweeper wit a couple interesting variations.
New moves meant better opportunities for Scizor in today’s
battle environment.

Physical Sweeper.
Scizor@Liechi Berry.
Nature: Adamant (+Attack, - Special attack).
EV’s: 252 Speed / 252 Attack / 6 Defense.
- X-Scissor

- Swords dance / Pursuit / Night slash / Roost
- Brick break / Aerial ace / U turn
Standard psychical sweeping. Swarm s recommended for this set.
Swords dance is a nice boost anytime you can use it.
Endure – Reversal.

Nature: Jolly (+Speed, - Special attack).
EV’s: 252 Speed / 252 Attack / 6 HP.
- X-Scissor / Baton pass / Iron head
- Swords dance / Agility
- Endure
- Reversal
This
one is for swarm ability as well. This one can actually be used
more than one time. Baton pass some attack or speed and later
use it again; endure, let berry activate and sweep.

This is
a much more elaborated baton passer. It is relatively easy to
use because of its high defenses and potential high speed.

Technician is the ability to go with this set. Hit and switch at
will, U-turn does that at the same time, a very cool move if you
ask me.
Pros.
Scizor
became better with the new generation moves. It has an
impressive move pool with a wide variety of types. It is
definitely considered or a lot of teams.
Counters.
Dragon
types have advantage over Scizor. A lot of them are faster, can
boost its stats and can even hit harden than Scizor. Status
conditions will also hurt a lot. Flying and fire types are the
main choice when facing Scizor; Charizard and Gyarados are some
of the best.
Bottom line.
