weather is rainy.

Defense: 55
Special attack: 85
Special defense: 50

Pokédex Data:
Its flotation sac
developed as a result of pursuing aquatic prey. It can double as
a rubber raft. It floats using its well-developed flotation sac.
It assists in the rescues of drowning people.
Floatzels advantage over other early water
types in early game is its speed. It also has a very good attack
and a decent HP. Unfortunately its defenses are clearly a
problem, so we’ll have to hit hard and fast with this one.
The
movesets for today are…
Physical sweeper.
Floatzel@Damp
rock.
Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, - Special attack), Jolly (+ Speed, -
Special attack).
EV’s: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 6 HP.
- Rain dance
- Waterfall
- Ice fang
- Crunch / Aqua jet
Use rain dance and sweep as much as you can. Use the rain while it lasts.
Baton passer.
Floatzel@Leftovers.
Nature: Jolly (+ Speed, - Special attack).
EV’s: 252 Attack / 252 Defense / 6 HP.
- Waterfall / Crunch
- Bulk up
- Taunt
- Baton pass
Boost
stats and baton pass whenever you feel it’s the right time. It
is all about timing. This might be a very common set so be
careful, they’ll be expecting it.
There is another variation for the sweeper set; have choice band and
switch rain dance with some physical attack, but having little
defenses is kind of risky.
Pros.
Being an
early game Pokémon made Floatzel kind of popular at the
beginning of this generation, today is not that used anymore,
but it does its job good enough. Baton passers are more
effective IMO, but I’ll let you decide your favorite set. Bulk
up is a very valuable move in today’s competitive environment.
Counters.
Jolteon,
Kyogre and Lanturn will be a major problem for Floatzel. Some
other resistant Pokémon like Lucario will deal a good amount of
damage as well.
Bottom line.
It’s
been another week and I finally got out of tests for a couple
weeks, so I’ll have more time to answer e-mails and stuff, thank
you all for your support and patience.
