Hello Pojo Fans,

PSY-Framelord Omega is the Throwback Thursday choice for the week, despite not having anything to do with S-Force or their strategy.

Generic Level 8 Synchro with great stats, Omega was a force when it first was released and has withstood the test of time, enduring as the choice now for Level 8 Synchro targets. To take a card out of your opponents hand potentially before they get to even start the game is demoralizing. The card they banish until your next Standby Phase goes face-up, most of the time telling you what strategy they will be using. This effect is the most popular of Omega’s effects to use, players constantly banishing it and a card over and over to take away a resource. Omega can cycle itself back from the grave and another card in your grave, that’s a +2 in my book. Moving a banished card back to the grave can give you access to stuff you’d banished to activate effect(s). Bujin and Crystron, and Kozmo do this a lot. Nine times out of ten though you will be banishing Omega to take away a card from your opponent.

Not much else to say about Omega. If you use Tuners and need a Level 8, this is the one you should include. Gotta make space for a great monster like this.

Considering we’re looking at the S-Force, why not look at one of their prime targets on Throwback Thursday: PSY-Framelord Omega.

Omega is a Level 8 LIGHT Psychic Synchro with 2800 ATK and 2200 DEF. Pretty good stats on Level 8, LIGHT is pretty good, and Psychic is a fun type. It’s summoning requirements are any Tuner and any 1+ non-Tuner, so it’s super generic even outside PSY-Frames. Omega has a soft once per turn effect during the Main Phase as a Quick Effect to banish itself from the field to then banish a random card from the opponent’s hand, but both return during your next Standby Phase. Smells like a hand-loop enabler, which is why the card is limited in both the TCG and OCG. Either way, still having access to one of this in anything using Synchros can be pretty good, and you can probably find ways to take multiple cards from the opponent’s hand still with a single copy. Omega also has a soft once per turn during the opponent’s Standby Phase to return any banished card to the graveyard, which can be fun in several Decks. PSY-Frames can keep abusing Overload to keep searching their monster lineup, Zombies can recycle Mezuki, there’s some uses for this. The final effect lets you return this card and any other card in the graveyard to the Deck/Extra Deck, which is pretty nice to get cards in your opponent’s graveyard you don’t want there out or to recycle cards you want to search again. Three good effects that are not a hard once per turn makes this one of the best Synchros in the game’s history, which is why it made the Top 10 Synchros back in 2018, and that list still holds up except for the fact you can argue Borreload Savage might deserve a spot since it was released after. It’s still a very good card and something you might want to fit in your Deck if you go for Level 8 Synchros.

PSY-Framework Omega is a Level 8, Light/Psychic Syncro Monster with 2800 attack and 2200 defense.  Synchro Summon is performed by 1 Tuner and 1+ non-Tuner Monsters.  A Quick Effect lets you, once per turn during the Main Phase remove this card from the Field and a card in your opponent’s Hand from play.  Sure it’s at random, but you’re still stripping your opponent of a resource for a turn.  Potentially every Turn, with little to be done as this is removed too via the effect.  Once a Turn during their Standby Phase, you can return a card that’s been removed from play to the Graveyard.  So you can potentially further disrupt your opponent by sending their cards you’re removing to the Grave instead as well.  If this card is in your Graveyard, you can Target one other card in a Graveyard and cycle them both back to the(ir) Deck(s).  It’s useful even though you’re likely bringing more of this guy out anyway. He’s strong and disruptive, and too easy to drop to the Field.
