Up Modified: How’s It Changed With Neo Destiny? Can you smell it? That’s the smell of the season of GC’s and SC’s in the air. Yes, many of the gym challenges have started, and even the East Coast Stadium Challenge has passed. Now that Neo Destiny has been around long enough to get a feel for the new format, has it changed? “I don’t get it.” When I first looked at this set, I thought ‘What the heck is this? What the heck am I going to play?’ Now I know. Neo Destiny did nothing really, except add tons of cool shining cards and tons of rares. Now of course there are awesome cards in this set, like Dark Crobat, Dark Ampharos, Dark Gengar, Dark Feraligatr, Dark Typhlosion… we can go on and on. But are those cards going to affect the environment? No. What won the ECSC? Anyone know? What placed second? Anyone know? Can you take a guess? *Jeopardy music plays* “Gee, Alex, I’m going to take a wild stab at it… Feraligatr?” CORRECT! Everyone thought the loser gatr was dead, and here he goes and owns in New Jersey. What placed 3rd and 4th? If you guess this right, and didn’t know, I swear your psychic. Crobat was one of them… which is surprising. How did a Crobat lose to a Feraligatr? Bad luck maybe? “=/” Kingdra/Espeon was the other. In the words of many IRC people, “… … … that’s not even FUNNY.” But it’s true. Congrats to the person who played that. You win the RaNd0m award for creativity =P People, the truth is, if you want to win a challenge, you need to play a deck that can beat gatr, beat crobat, and beat “Big Fire”. Is there a deck that can do that besides those 3? I don’t really think so… I definitely know what I’m playing at the challenge in St. Louis on the 30th. And what I’m playing at the stadium challenge in Chicago on April 20th. That my friends, would be Crobat. Played right, the card can beat Feraligatr, Steelix, Dark Gengar, and Fire. For some weird reason, it’s completely underrated. What
are you going to play? Will it be the riptiding Feraligatr,
who always seems to do well? Will it be the insanely
speedy Entei/Magcargo? Will it be the sleep inducing Dark
Gengar? Whatever you play, look over the deck, and make
sure it has the ability to beat any deck. Last second
checks always do the trick ;) Neo
Destiny is an awesome set, I’ll give it that. Look
forward to a review of it sometime in the future. (At my
pace, probably this summer -_-) Whatever you play, make
sure it works! It’s really not cool to play something
you thought would own, and then watch it die. Trust me,
ask ANYONE who went to the sts and saw me, and they’ll
know why… ;x Good
