If there’s one thing we’ve learned about mass reanimation spells, it’s that they always enable combo decks, and enchantments and artifacts tend to do the same – and break game states in half just in general. Redress Fate would have been amazing for some kind of unholy hybrid of Miracles and Parfait (enchantment-based control/prison) in Legacy . . . a few years ago, before Sensei’s Divining Top was banned. If you can’t ensure frequent or at least plausible miracle castings, your best bet is some kind of super-ramp, probably relying on artifacts; conveniently, Commander tends strongly towards that. You might also like to look back at Esper cards from Shards of Alara, as a lot of them were based around generating value in some manner, and having them be unable to die will make opponents feel cheated.

This is part of the Commander subset, so scores reflect this.

One of the fan-favorite effects is mass-reanimation, and Replenish was a card that has long been both a combo piece and a card with a lot of intrigue. Redress Fate is a spell that immediately calls to mind that older card, though the caveat of sorts is that this is only Replenish if you get the miracle cost. Miracle is a very interesting mechanic for an effect like this, though there is the caveat that this also brings back artifacts, opening up a couple of angles that this doesn’t normally have. Eight mana is a lot for this if you have to hard-cast this, though, and I feel like the delta between the best-case of this and the worst-case is massive. It’s still a spell with a lot of potential, and it can lead to a massive blowout if the board allows for it, but I don’t feel like this will shine as a “plan A” of any deck.

Constructed: 3 (can function as a Replenish of sorts, though it’s not as effective because of its need to play around the miracle cost)
Casual: 5
Limited: 3.5 (eight mana makes this a hard sell)
Multiplayer: 3.5
Commander [EDH]: 4
