Hello Pojo Fans,
Resonance Insect is the Throwback Thursday choice, thought it’d be Doom Dozer, but this card is good tech for almost any Insect build.
Level 5 or higher Insect monster searcher when sent from the field to the grave. If you banish Resource Insect, you get a free Foolish Burial for Insects. Both effects are easily triggered and both effects do great stuff for your Insect decks. You might not always get the search depending on how many of Resonance Insect and Level 5 or higher Insect monsters you run, but you can always use a Foolish Burial. Fill the grave for Doom Dozer or Assault Roller off using Resonance Insect for a Link Summon and get your search as well once you banish it. In the Beetrooper archetype we’ve covered this week this card searches three archetype-specific monsters, which is pretty good for a monster made first in 2014.
Sure, you need to banish it to get both effects and it can’t banish itself, but if you run Resonance Insect, you’ll be running cards that can banish it. 41 Main Deck options available for Resonance Insect go search, but far less likely targets outside of Beetrooper and Inzektor.

Throwback Thursday this week brings us a strong Insect card that benefits Beetroopers a ton: Resonance Insect.
Resonance Insect is a Level 4 EARTH Insect with 1000 ATK and 700 DEF. First effect upon being sent from field to grave lets you search for a Level 5 or higher Insect, which is really good to get some strong Insects like Doom Dozer or Mighty Neptune for free Special Summons, or a nice hand trap like Contact “C”. This also isn’t a hard once per turn, opening you up for a ton of searching capabilities, so this is something you want to try and get on field to Link away, whether the card itself or equipped via Picofalena. The second effect works upon being banished, letting you send any Insect from Deck to grave that isn’t another Resonance Insect, so it’s also free graveyard setup for banishing it, likely off a searched Doom Dozer or an Armor Horn in grave. Again, no hard once per turn, so you can get some good graveyard setup going with this. Resonance Insect is a strong card for Beetroopers and can have some potential in other Insect strategies in the future. Great card that’s an easy 3-of in Beetroopers.

Throwback Thursday this week goes to Resonance Insect, a card that does help the Beetrooper Theme, as well as other Insects. Earth/Insect, Level 4, meh stats that are irrelevant as you’re using this for its Effects anyway. Use this to search yesterday’s card when sent from the Field to the Grave (in any manner no less, all ready improving over the week) but any Level 5 or higher Insect, so that gives the player lots of options. Removing it from play also plays into the Theme, and grants you a dump of an Insect of your choice from your Deck to your Grave, also aiding the Theme. Honestly, in Beetroopers, this guy is probably a 3 of. Use and abuse my friends.

Keeping up the bug theme this week, Throwback Thursday gives us Resonance Insect, a card many people feared would break the game as soon as a competent insect archetype was introduced. Released way back in 2014, Resonance Insect is a level 4 EARTH insect monster, which is pretty standard especially in the context of Beetroopers. For its level, it has a diminutive statline of 1000 attack and 700 defense, so while it won’t be beating over or defending against anything anytime soon.
The most diabolical thing about Resonance Insect is that neither of its effects are once per turn. If it’s sent from the field to the graveyard, you can search any level 5 or higher insect. In the recent YCS, Resonance Insect was used to search Contact “C”, a powerful hand trap, after being pulled out of the deck by Inzektor Picofalena. Optionally, if Beetrooper Armor Horn is out of commission somehow, you can search Doom Dozer and trigger Resonance Insect’s other effect, which allows you to send any insect except itself from your deck to the graveyard. The prime target is Gokipole, which will then search any level 4 insect. You can easily grab an extender like Monday’s Beetrooper Assault Roller or Retaliating “C”, another powerful hand trap from the “C” family, or even another Resonance Insect if you’re feeling gutsy. Again, since neither of its effects are once per turn, if you can field multiple Resonance Insects or recycle your banished copies, you’re looking at some very long and nasty combos. Currently, Resonance Insect is a crazy toy in Beetrooper decks and would probably be broken if not for the fact that it’s stuck as an insect, one of the least supported types in the game, though that’s not necessarily be a bad thing.
