After a brief stint in Innistrad‘s recent batch of sets, decayed gets a printed card, and it’s one hell of a doozy. Rot-Curse Rakshasa is two valuable things: an efficient beater, and a way to both break a game open and wipe a board. A 5/5 with trample for two mana, even if one-time, is quite a formidable presence, and while it cannot block, it can blow a big hole in an opponent early before returning to wreak havoc on an established board later. The renew is a good way to make creatures unable to block in a pinch. While the Rot-Curse Rakshasa may not be a perfect topdeck in a late game, there’s a lot of value it can accrue, and a 5/5 with trample is nothing to write off.
