treats his spirit, Bason, like a tool and nothing else and
doesn't believe in Yoh's talk of friendship. He fights Yoh
before and during the shaman tournament and in the end he
understands that it was his father (or uncle, depending on
the version) who taught him nothing but hatred so he changes
his attitude towards his spirit. He's very self-conscious
