3 equal counterattack opportunities? - justin ngai

When you counterattack, especially in early and mid game, don't always try and strike in your yellow or red zone. Instead, try to make effective defenses in your green zone. You know why? Because your opponent gains furyoku based on what zone you strike in. Don't get caught up in charging up furyoku, especially in a field control deck, because doing so will only give your opponent more furyoku than you used. Lost? for example, say you focus in your green zone and play in your yellow zone, you gained one green and lost the price of the strike. On the other hand, your oppponent gains one green and one yellow (sinced you striked from yellow) and could play a strike without using all his/her newly gained furyoku, whereas you would have lost more than the one green furyoku when you played a strike. Not very advantageous, is it? The best thing to do would be to play a defensive teamwork in your green zone, like Big Bill - Football Fanatic or Venster - Tactican, so you could defend very quickly in your green zone. The chances are that your opponent will play more strikes in their yellow and red zones morfe frequently than you do, which in the long run, gives you a major furyoku advantage over the opponent. Simple really.
