I mean it’s nice that we could theoretically run less Grade-raisers for other, more relevant cards, but really Smokegear only partially fixes that problem, because what COULD you run instead? The best thing about it is the fact that on any turn you performed your Superior Ride to Grade 4 it’s a +1 if you chose to say ‘fuck it’ and used it as an attacker…which to be perfectly honest is probably the more sensible use for Smokegear given you kind of need decent attackers going for you – I’ve always believed holding cards back to use one skill when you can rush to do more damage isn’t usually a good idea.

Obvious Chronojet staple though, so that’s something going for it.
