Hello Pojo Fans,
Springans Rockey starts off a Springans week on Pojo, and the last week of March.
Searches the Field Spell for the archetype, but can also net you a Springans monster from your grave. Normally this wouldn’t be what you want to see from a searching card in an archetype, but this archetype likes to attach to their Xyz monster within the archetype, so it fits. This shows in the second effect, allowing you to attach to a Springans Xyz you have on the field. The Field Spell (which we’ll be reviewing later) is critical, giving your Springans monsters 1000ATK, making this a 2800ATK Normal Summon card. The other Xyz monster can fuel Rockey’s effect by sending a Springans monster to the grave upon its Xyz Summon. Also, that Rank 4 Xyz can send Sprind the Irondash Dragon to the grave if it has two materials, getting you a free Springans monster to the field from the deck in the End Phase.
A decent monster that, while not searching through the deck for the archetype monsters, gets you to an important card, and like all Springans, can attach to their Xyz monsters from the hand, which helps with the higher level archetype monsters. Bottom line: this gets your important Field Spell or recoups what your Xyz Monster used.

Back into the Dogmatika lore, we get to the Springans archetype and start the week off with Springans Rockey.
Rockey is a Level 4 FIRE Machine with 1800 ATK and 800 DEF. Overall we got some good Level 4 stats, Machine is always a great type, and FIRE is fun and interesting. Upon this card’s Normal or Special Summon, you can target a Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda or any Springans monster in your graveyard and add it to your hand. A searcher might of been better than a Warrior Returning Alive on a monster for the archetype, but having recovery is good at least. Springans Watch will have to do for you search. Considering how important Golgonda is to this archetype, you shouldn’t really mind a way to recover it. You also can recover a Level 4 Springans for a potential Rank 4 or just get anything as discard fodder for Golgonda. The second effect is all on Springans in the Main Deck, where you can attach this card from the hand or graveyard to a Springans Xyz you control. Having ways to recover your Xyz Materials is pretty good, even if the Rank 8 is the only real card to make use of them on its own. The Rank 4 at least wants them for its banish effect to dump a Fallen of Albaz Fusion and at least you get setup for tomorrow’s card. Overall, Rockey is a pretty decent card for the archetype. With 5 names in the Main Deck, you really take what you can get, though. Either way, this is one you’re certainly going to be fine playing.

Art: 4/5 It’s a little silly for an archetype based on battleships, but it’s somewhat appealing.

Springmans Rockey is a fun little combo card and a decent attacker of his own accord to kick off this week. Fire/Machine is a bit odd combo, Level 4, and a nice 1800 attack. It lets you search the Field Magic of the Theme or a Monster therein, when Normal or Special Summoned. Versatility in Summoning as well as what you Target to retrieve, as the card has to come from your Grave, is appreciated. This card can also be attached to a Theme XYZ card, as long as it’s in your Hand, Grave, or on your Field. Extra Material for free is a pretty common but useful aspect we see more often now in the game, and it obviously helps too. Not amazing, but useful enough in its ways.

Art: 4/5 A little over the top cartoony but I do like what I see.
