Hello Pojo Fans,
Stake your Soul! is the only Spell from the archetype we’ll be reviewing this week, and is a pretty standard one you see in many archetypes now.
Normal Spell that is both a RoTA and a Special Summon for Vanquish Soul monsters. You’ll need a monster in your hand, but as long as you have that you will get a Vanquish Soul from the Deck to the field with a different name but same Attribute. Because it doesn’t specify the revealed monster to be a Vanquish Soul monster, I believe you can do some cheeky stuff like revealing an Ash Blossom to search and Special Summon your Razen. The monster you summon will pop back to the hand in the End Phase, but in an archetype that needs cards to be in the hand this isn’t a bad thing.
This is a card to help make certain you will be able to match Attributes. With only three Attributes in the archetype, it shouldn’t be too hard to match Attributes, but it happens. SyS guarantees you will get to a Vanquish Soul monster and start using their abilities that turn. If you don’t want that Vanquish Soul going back to your hand in the End Phase you can always link it away for Rock of the Vanquisher: the archetype’s only Link Monster which will get you a Vanquish Soul monster from the grave to your hand or Special Summon a Vanquish Soul from your hand.
Stake your Soul! is a card that ensures consistency. You will get to an Attribute you have in your hand and will get to a different copy of a monster with that same Attribute, thus allowing you to maximize your ability to use your Vanquish Soul monster’s effects.

Midweek gives us the big consistency piece for the Vanquish Soul archetype that gives even more room for generic monsters of the Attributes you need: Stake your Soul!
Stake your Soul! is a Normal Spell that lets you reveal a monsnter in your hand to summon a Vanquish Soul monster with the same Attribute, but different name, from yoru Deck, but it returns to the hand during the End Phase. A good incentive to run any good generic DARK or FIRE monsters to get you to Mad Love or Razen for the search. Returning it to the hand in the End Phase won’t matter if you use the monster as Link Material for Rock or return it to the hand for Heavy Borger or Caesar Valius. Speaking of those two, this card could get you to either one as well by revealing a DARK or EARTH respecively for the one you want. Hard once per turn on this card, which you’d hope for anything summoning from the Deck. Stake your Soul! gives so much splashability for Vanquish Soul since it does help when you got generic EARTH, FIRE, or DARK monsters. It also makes more room for those generic monsters for more than just the effects of said Vanquish Soul monsters themselves. Main negative is not being a Vanquish Soul card by name, meaning it’s unsearchable as of this moment, but it’s great and you’d want 3 to see it as soon as possible in Vanquish Soul.

Stake your Soul! is our next Vanquish Soul card in our coverage, a Normal Spell with a single effect that you can only activate once per turn. Stake your Soul! will reveal a monster in your hand to Special Summon any Vanquish Soul monster from your deck with the same attribute and different name, returning it to the hand during the End Phase. Since it’s not a Vanquish Soul card by name, it’s limited to being a starter for the archetype, albeit a bit more limited than most E-Teles. Naturally, your main priority should be to access Vanquish Soul Razen, so it helps to run powerful generic FIRE monsters like Ash Blossom, Kurikara Divincarnate, and Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju. The “downside” of returning to the hand is pretty much irrelevant since you can Link off every Vanquish Soul monster into Rock of the Vanquisher, which can recycle that monster anyway. Much like Small World, Stake your Soul! has a risk of bricking if you’re unfortunate enough to not open any valid monsters, but it’s good enough that you should still run three copies.
