Weequay
Leader
Cost: 13
HP: 40
DEF: 14
ATK: +7
DAM: 20
Cleave; melee; Mighty Swing: Rapport (jabba)
CE: non-unique followers with in 6 gain mighty
Swing.
If the guys on Jabba's barge were this good the
movie would have ended 30 min unto ep VI. I really
like this guy too. For stats alone I would play this
guy as is. It is a bit of a downer that he is melee,
but for 12-13pts you get a character with an
impressive 40 HP, so he will take two shots to be
killed from anything short of an AT-ST. The DEF
isn't too great, and the +7 is mediocre, but c'mon,
this guy only costs 12-13pts!
Once you tack on Cleave and Mighty Swing you get one
heck of a grunt killer. This is also a good Commando
killer as well if you can get him based without
dying. Then again if they are trying to take him
out, then they are not touching your beat sticks.
On top of this, he is a commander. He gives
followers mighty swing. This is where it gets just
plain sick. Jedi Weapons Masters can now triple for
30 DAM with Windu. Sev can shot for 40, and AT-STs
can now double for 50 without the need for the
stormtrooper commander, freeing up a couple more
points, and i am sure that there are several other
sick combos that will emerge once this set is widely
played. There are just so many solid followers that
are going to benefit from this, all the way from Old
Republic to New Republic. Granted Republic and
Empire have Mas Amedda to take away the range
limitation.
100pts: I think this guy is playable here, for no
other fact that he will fit with 3 Jedi Weapons
Masters, to make them sick. You won't see him much,
but he can work here with a little imagination.
200pts: I think in this format this guy, along with
some of the other new commanders, will see a LOT of
play. It seems that after the introduction of lots
of big powerful uniques from CotF, BH will push
armies back towards non-unique army squads. Plan on
seeing a lot of this guy.

Weequay
Leader
Faction: Fringe
Cost: 13
HP: 40
DEF: 14
ATK: 7
DMG: 20
Cleave
Melee Attack
Mighty Swing
Rapport (w/ Jabba)
Commander Effect: Non-Unique followers within 6
squares gain Mighty Swing.
Sorry I didn't do yesterday's review, but I was
having computer problems. For the flea rider, he'll
be okay for drafts, but his low attack hurts him, as
well as him being huge. 3/5. Okay, done with him,
and caught up for this one.
Okay, for 13 points, his stats are decent, as he'll
last for some time compared to other 13 point
pieces. His Cleave is.... meh, is Melee Attack is
expected, his Mighty Swing is good if he can stay in
one place (although his 7 ATK won't hit much without
other Commander Effects giving him a boost) and his
Rapport is... well, good if you want to use Jabba.
However, most will use this beast for his Commander
Effect. After all, who doesn't love an additional 10
damage against enemies? After all, can anyone say
Jedi Weapon Masters? Perhaps Gundarks with Empathy
nearby? Well, you know what I mean, as there are
many combos to use with him.
In 100, he's okay with a few Jedi Weapon Masters, as
30 DMG a swing will blow a hole into the likes of
Bane or Vader. In 200, Mas Ammeda has a new friend.
Just remember it only affects Non-Uniques.
In 100: 3/5
In 200: 3.5/5

Weequay
Leader
Points: 13
Hitpoints: 40
Defense: 14
Attack: +7
Damage: 20
Faction: Fringe
Abilities: Cleave, Melee Attack, Melee Attack,
Mighty Swing, Rapport (Jabba the Hutt)
Commander Effect: Non-unique followers within 6
squares gain Mighty Swing.
The Weequay Leader is undoubtably an interesting
piece. He is a commander who strongly benefits Melee
Attacking units. He also has Rapport with Jabba,
which really rides on weather there is a new Jabba
coming out in the set.
His stats are okay. For 13 points, you really don't
expect much, but they aren't terrible. 40 hitpoints
is high enough to survive a few 10 damage hits, but
14 defense really won't help you defend too much. +7
attack is average, as is his 20 damage.
His abilities include Melee Attack, which is a real
bummer. He also has one of my favorite abilities,
Cleave, but he really can't use it to its full
potential due to his stats. He has Rapport with
Jabba (which is meaningless unless we get a new
Jabba.), along with Mighty Swing.
Mighty Swing? WTF is that? That ability that the
Tuskens have?
