Sith Dragon Jabba, Crime Lord
Fringe
Cost: 15
HP: 80
DEF: 17
ATK: +7
DAM: 20

Speed 2; Cunning Attack; Melee Attack; Mighty Swing

CE: Non-unique fringe followers within 6 squares gain Cunning Attack

The first thing that pops up every time Jabba is mentioned is do all of the rapports fro the last set work with the new Jabba? The answer is no since they all say that they cost one less with Jabba the Hutt, so the name has to be Jabba the Hutt. For it to work with both Jabbas it would have to say costs one less with characters whose name contains Jabba.

That aside, the new Jabba is wicked good. Stat-wise what else could you want for only 15 points! He has a massive 80 HP (lotta blubber to blast through), a decent 17 DEF, and ok +7 ATK, and a surprisingly nice base 20 DAM, not that he will do much fighting though with speed two.

If you play Jabba, you are going to play him for his CE. Giving all non-unique followers cunning attack is just sickly good. It will let opportunists play both sides of the initiative. Front line fighters will do more damage. Aqualish assassins can now swing at a +11 for 20 DAM no matter when they swing. Its just crazy!

How hard is it to keep Jabba within 6 though? Not very if you use Mas. Then you have the option to bring in republic or imperial help as well, whether it be Veers to give everyone accurate shot, or R2 for tow.

100pts: Nope, not a beat.

150pts: Here he can start to see play. I have not seen or played against any squads with him in it, but with the boost he can give little grunts, the activation count can be insane enough to let it compete.

200pts: He is totally playable here, whether you want to play a swarm squad or just add him in as a booster. At 15 points you can do pretty much anything you want. The nice thing is that he can also be brought in through Lobot's reinforcements, or any fringe reserve you might roll too. This Jabba is infinitely more playable than the old Jabba.

Hassan Ninkin Jabba, Crime Lord
Cost: 15
Faction: fringe
HP: 80
Defense: 17
Attack: 7
Damage: 20

Melee Attack
Unique
Cunning Attack
Mighty Swing
Speed 2
CE: Non Unique fringe followers gain Cunning Attack

Well, although this Jabba can get off a +11 for 40 damage if he's started his turn based against an enemy, his low speed means that probably won't be the case unless some jedi comes to get him and fails an attack roll, then Jabba wins initiative. More likely, he's a 15 point Commander who gives all those lovely fodder pieces Cunning attack, an ability that works best if you know you'll be winning initiative rolls. He'll find the most support in squads that use Recon and have mostly fringe characters. I'd recommend him for a 90% fringe NR build, because Talon Karrde seems like a natural choice to partner up with Jabba to get the job done.

100 point: 2.7/5 He's cheap and has a decent fringe CE
150 point: 3/5 Still cheap and highly effective
200 point: 2.5/5 In 200 point format, you don't want to restrict your CE's to only fringe characters, except in the rare fringe only squad
