Aurra Sing
Separatist
Cost: 41
HP: 130
DEF: 20
ATK: +12
DAM: 10
Jedi Hunter; Lightsaber; Twin Attack
Force 2
Blaster Barrage
Today we have a piece that i still am really not too
sure on yet. At first glance she isn't as good as CS
Aurra, but her potential may not have been fully
realized. In comparison, The new Aurra has lower
stats almost board wide. Her HP is the same. Her DEF
is -1. Her base attack is a +1, but her total
possible attack is a -3, and her DAM is -10.
Her attacks may be weaker, but her abilities
actually make the new Aurra a bit better. The big
downer is that she loses accurate shot, which can be
huge, but she now has twin attack to make up for the
loss of the base 20 DAM, and if she is adjacent to
someone she does have lightsaber +10. While i would
prefer the base 20 DAM, she can now do 60 DAM to an
adjacent Jedi, instead of 30, and because of the
twin attack, there is a better chance that something
will get passed the Jedi with deflect.
I imagine baster barrage is the big reason she lost
her accurate shot. Otherwise she would be insanely
powerful. Anytime you add BB to a character with
twin attack, you get some serious grunt control. If
she gets based by a couple Jedi, she can BB them and
dish out 60 DAM per Jedi! That is a lot of hurt, but
the downer is that multi Jedi squads any more are
usually going to have CS Yoda following them, which
really cuts down on how much she can do.
The biggest downer on this piece is that she is tied
to the absolute worst faction for living characters.
The Separatist Sith are woefully lacking in
chemistry and are all so highly priced, its hard to
do anything with them. It the new Aurra was fringe
she would be awesome for all of the support she
could get from the republic and empire, but instead
she gets no help from the separatists.
100pts: I do not see her as playable here. There
just isn't enough help from the CIS.
150/200pts: Here she is playable, but exactly how
good remains to be seen. I have played her here and
wasn't overly impressed, but with one game being
against evading Jedi flanked by CS Yoda, she pretty
much had her hands tied. Basically there is only one
character that makes her playable, as is the case
for most of the Sith CIS, and that is San Hill.
Putting the new Aurra in a San Hill based squad,
gives her the edge she needs to survive. San is one
of the better squad builds right now, but he is NOT
easy to play. Outside of a San Hill squad, i don't
see the new Aurra doing much simply because she is
tied to the separatists.

Aurra Sing,
Jedi Hunter
Set: Alliance and Empire
Faction: Separatists
Number: 2/60
Rarity: VR
Cost: 41
Hit Points: 130
Defense: 20
Attack 12
Damage: 10
Unique
Jedi Hunter (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against
enemies with Force ratings)
Lightsaber (+10 Damage against adjacent enemies)
Twin Attack (Whenever this character attacks, she
makes 1 extra attack against the same target)
Force: Force 2
Blaster Barrage (Force 1; replaces attacks: Can
attack each legal target
once.
I like this version of the Clone Strike Arra Sing.
She has the principle of
attack and attack. They have dropped the accurate
shot so you can't shoot
what you want. We also have blaster barrage and twin
attack effectively
letting her attack everyone she can see twice. If
she moves into a group of
enemies and uses blaster barrage then she gets a lot
of attacks with a
maximum +16 attack 30 damage because of lightsaber
and jedi hunter. She has
solid hitpoints. they are the same as her other
version for only 4 points
more. Oh wait she is in the seperatist faction. Not
feringe. This is were
she seriously Fails. the seperatists have almost no
support for living
characters. I could see her used with the Darth
Sideous or Assaj Ventress
but that's it.
100 points 1/5 She cannot coordinate with enough
pieces and do much
against anything except jedi. You almost never use
barrage. your opponent
dosn't have enought characters for you to attack
multiple targets.
150 points 2/5 Here she gets a little better but she
isn't sertigetic
enough.
200 points 3/5 She is just a big shooter in this
amount of armies
unless you are going against jedi she is worthless. |

AURRA SING,
JEDI HUNTER
Faction:
Separatist
Cost: 41
HP: 130
DEF: 20
ATK: 12
DMG: 10
Unique
Jedi Hunter
Lightsaber
+10
Twin Attack
Force 2
Blaster
Barrage (Force 1)
Hello, and
sorry I haven't been doing reviews for a long
time. However, its hard to maintain interest in
a game that doesn't release a new set in over
eight months. But that is not what I'm here to
discuss.
The Clone
Strike Aurra Sing was a beast in her days. She
was considered broken for many purposes, used in
most squads, and very expensive to try to
obtain. Then Boba Fett, Bounty Hunter stole the
spotlight...
Now, Aurra
Sing has come back with a Seperatist look and
trying to surpass her rival Boba. She costs 4
more points than her previous version, same HP,
lost 1 point in DEF, gained 1 point in ATK, but
only holds 10 DMG. So, stat-wise she hasn't
done much with herself, but we all know that we
don't pick pieces for just their stats, right?
Her abilities
are what makes her the beast from Alliance and
Empire. Jedi Hunter and Lightsaber +10 truly
allows her to deal out damage on each attack,
and with Twin Attack it makes things even more
deadly, as the Clone Strike Aurra Sing could
only issue one attack. Blaster Barrage (and
Force 2) allows her to do massive damage around
the board when used right, and don't forget that
Twin Attack affects that too. So, if your
opponent has a bunch of force-users that are all
legal targets, then Aurra Sing, Jedi Hunter will
be having some fun, dealing out a potential 40
DMG to each character!
In 100 PT
format, she's good. She will need to watch out
for the beasts like Bane and Vader. In 150,
still not too bad. In 200, she will be getting
good support, so she'd be good there.
4.5/5 on all
3 formats
Until next
time...
