Canderous Ordo
Mandalorian
Cost: 48
HP: 120
DEF: 17
ATK: +10
DAM: 30
Triple Attack; Regeneration 10
Today we look at another KOTOR piece.
Canderous may or may not be effective as a piece,
but he really hits the game's version of him dead
on.
For 48 points, you get a decent HP, but that is
really about all that is good. His defense
means he is going to get lit up in a hurry.
The +10 is also pretty bad. It means you have
a piece that is 1/2 to 3/4 of your squad that cannot
hurt your opponent's major pieces with any
consistency. Most big Jedi you are rolling
12-13 to hit, and that is pretty bad odds. The
one big perk is that he has a massive base 30
damage, so if he hits, its gonna hurt.
Triple attack makes Canderous someone that you
really do not want to mess around with. If the
die is favoring him, he will take beat sticks down
in a hurry, assuming he can hit of course.
Regeneration is a great ability, but its hard to
make use of in most games. With such a low
defense, you dont want to leave him in the open.
Canderous is a spitting image of the character from
the game, but his effectiveness is left lacking a
bit.
100pts: With all of the big defense power Jedi
ruling this roost, he really cant be effective here.
150pts: In a fun game i can see Canderous being
somewhat effective, but there just isnt enough room
to bring in all of the help that he really needs.
The Mando faction received a huge boost from Legacy,
but it still has a ways to go.
200pts: Here Canderous can be effective to a degree,
but not in quite the way you think. he really
needs to be played with Boba MC and the Mando
Commander for accurate and mobile. Then,
instead of trying to take out the big threats, Let
him deal with the mid level characters. He
stands a better chance of hitting them, and can be
very effective in taking them out if he gets a
triple off. Two hits and the likes of Talon,
R2PO, ect go down in two hits. He is great for
attacking 30, 50 and 60 HP characters. Let
Boba deal with the bigger guns for as long as
possible.
