Today we look at the lone NR piece of the set. I
dont know what it is about the NR, but they have a
habit of only getting 1-3 pieces in a set, but the
pieces they get are absolutely amazing. General
Antilles has stats that are almost worth his cost
alone. For the low 20s you are getting pretty good
HP, solid DEF, mediocre attack and only 10 DAM. If
that was all he had, then id like to see his stats
on ATK and DAM go up a bit, but he still isnt bad.
You tack on his abilties and he gets even better. He
has accurate, so he doesnt have to pick on the front
characters. He can shoot at support pieces and
characters he stands a decent chance of hitting.
Mobile attack makes his 80HP even better. Add on
evade and now that HP is looking pretty darn beefy.
Of course it would not be Wedge if he didnt have
avoid defeat. It is a good ability, but not one that
is very reliable.
The package right there is pretty darn good, and
would probably see play if that was all he did, but
now you add on one of the best CE's in the game and
he is a real steal. Any follower gains evade AND
mobile attack. This is huge! It adds a very solid
streak of defense to the NR who is largely melee
based. He is only 3pts more than a bith vigo, so its
easy enough to give it to Mara, Jedi. Mara Skywalker
almost has her higher point cost justified because
now she has evade with a mettle reroll. Run Jaina
with Luke FS attached and now you have two jedi with
evade and mettle rerolls. Kyle becomes an absolute
beast now, and Han smuggler actually becomes very
playable and similiar to the other Hans out there.
Of course what is good for melee is usually even
better for shooters. You can now use Jango, Cade,
Fett Merc, and a host of others that were too
fragile before or kinda hard to use. The NR just
became incredibly good.
100pts: Not sure he is going to be enough help here.
While shooters are very viable here, melee still
rules the day, especially Loda.
150pts: Here he works very well. His cost is decent
and benefits so many pieces that he is almost a must
for the NR. Heck, with mobile, evading, door blowing
ugs, what's not to like? The synergy he brings to
this level is crazy good.
200pts: Of course he will only get better. He almost
makes Jacen playable! Ok, maybe not quite, but
certainly better than he was. NR Jedi just became a
serious threat to get up close safely, and their
shooters just got even better.
In virtually every build you wont go wrong using the
General. If you dont have him - get him!
