Another baseline Sylveon, this time being in the Sun & Moon Cosmic Eclipse expansion, and this card has been reviewed once by the review crew. This is a Stage 1 Fairy type with 110 HP, Metal weakness, Darkness resistance, a retreat cost of CC, and two attacks. Moonblast costs Y for 30 damage, and Sylveon takes 30 less damage from attacks. Beloved Pulse costs YCC for 80 damage, plus 80 more damage if you played a TAG TEAM Supporter card during your turn.
This card is released at a time where Energy Evolution Eevee left rotation. TAG TEAM Supporter cards only appear in Cosmic Eclipse, so there might be enough to work with:
-Bellelba & Brycen-Man
-Cynthia & Caitlyn
-Mallow & Lana
-Red & Blue
-Guzma & Hala
-Misty & Lorelei
Some of the TAG TEAM supporters won’t work well with Sylveon because they involve different basic energy types. The other cards with decent general usage would be Mallow & Lana, Cynthia & Caitlyn, Guzma & Hala, and Red & Blue. Even then, having to use those TAG TEAM supporters to get the bonus damage is quite the task, though fortunately those TAG TEAM Supporter cards have decent effects that’ll be worth your turn.
Ratings:
Standard: 1.5/5 (soon to be N/A)
Expanded: 1.5/5
This may be the strongest baseline Sylveon yet, and I don’t think it’ll see as much play either, even if it has the potential to OHKO ADP-GX and Dedenne-GX. I was trying to be optimistic in my previous review, but I realized that this is hard to do. Sylveon needs precise timing to benefit the bonus damage, otherwise it is less impressive.
