Ending what
was a Node week, is an option to dig for a Node if
you find yourself short Nodes after your “God
Mulligan” (see my article of the same name). Today
we have the Common Gearsmith Tactic Meager Research.
For the fantastic cost of 1 with a measly threshold
of 1, Meager Research is “the wonder tutor”. How do
I figure that you say? Because you “wonder” what
you’re going to be tutoring for!
Ok, so if you’re thinking, “My opponent gets a card
I get a card. Where’s the advantage in that?” For
all intents and purposes, it’s just a card draw for
your opponent where it’s a tutor for you. Tutor for
anything, even a Staple, is good for the cost of 1.
I’ll take 4 in my opening hand please…
Also, it’s been awhile since we’ve covered a card
with any 1337 on it:

In limited, it might be able to get you that one
card you’re hoping for early on. In constructed, puh-lease!
