Are you ready
for Bomb #3? The Arcanist Tactic Degenerate
Molestation.
As required for a Bomb…cost 10, threshold 4. And
this one’s a doosey!
How does clearing out your opponents hand and
playing all of your cards for free sound?
No I’m not kidding. And just to make sure it goes
off without a hitch, “Your opponent cannot respond
to this card.”
I’ve seen some nasty tricks with this, beyond it’s
already nasty effect. How about playing some bounce
for free? (Not like Arcanists don’t have a ton of
that!) Send something back to your opponents hand,
make him discard it and you just keep on playing
cards for free. Or, set him up with some crazy
Banker draw from Free Trade Agreement and watch the
cardboard fly!
This card is BEGGING to have decks built around it.
Some will say 10 costs (let alone 4 threshold) is
just too much…impractical and inconsistent. I say
give it a whirl and see how much fun it can be!
In Limited, it’s a game breaker/winner. In
Constructed, you either build around it or throw one
in and smile really big if/when you draw it in the
mid-late game.

Degenerate
Molestation
The arcanist 'bomb' tactic. The character on this
also appears as the Arcanist representative on
another card, brownie points to anyone who names it.
In any case, this card makes your opponent discard
their whole hand. Seriously. Now everyone's going to
play it, right?
Sure, though only a few copies because the cost is
so high.
3/5 Constructed
2.4/5 Limited
Wait, I missed something? Oh yeah, you get to play a
card with half the cost, rounded up, of each card
that your opponent discards. Late in the game,
you'll be able to play great big buggers for free.
The highest you're likely to discard is 9 or 10
cost. That means you can play a five cost card for
free. I'd say Forget, but you'd just pick the
cheapest card out of their hand. Just go ahead and
play all the characters and field clearing effects
you can with the 'free' cards. Imagine this with
Quotodian Assasination. Just about anything your
opponent discards will let you play it, and then
guess what? Another card for them to discard,
another card for you to play for free. I like.
An additional note, Degenerate Molestation cannot be
responded to. That means that even if your opponent
has a bomb tactic they want to get out of their hand
before you discard it, they can't. That's bloody
awesome. The turn will end with them lacking a hand
and you having considerable board presence. That
means this card is best played at the end of your
opponent's turn. Or at the beginning depending on
what you want.
5/5 Constructed
3.9/5 Limited (gotta love the funky averages this
turns out)
