doc We end this week with the uncommon Warlord character Suicide Squad.

Or by the art work, the amputee brigade.

This 4cost 2 threshold 3/1/3 is the latest addition to the mono Warlord agro beat down direct damage kick you in the face and smile about it deck! With the appropriately named ability “Ultimate Sacrifice”, Suicide Squad can effectively take out characters with up to 6 life if you destroy him after battle damage is assigned (including his own lethal damage of course) or can be used as the part of a “destroy a character” cost thus giving him a 2 fold effect.

Throw in a Dragon Juice and get an effective pump of 10 for your cost of 2. My inner Rage is aching to lay the smack down!

I’m sure there are lots of tricks that you can pull off with this ability. In limited, he’s a character that doubles as removal. In constructed, he’s a beatstick with tricks.

Ian Spiegel Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad is one of the new tricks Walords were afforded with Part Two. Is is a four cost double threshold charater, with three strength, one life, and three speed.

Its stats are just ok for a four drop in my opinion, but his ability is what makes him shine. He allows you to sacrifice himself to inflict damage equal to his strength to another character on the board.

In essence, he becomes a target practice with a body. This can be coupled with cards like Dragon Juice to deal eight damage to a character, effectively killing off whatever is necessary to kill at the time.

In constructed, he's decent removal with a body, and in limited he serves the same purpose. However, in the limited format with a smaller pool of characters and destruction, a card that can do both is pretty exceptional in my book.

Limited: 5 - doesn't get much better on the versatility side
Constructed: 3.5
