Today we have
a new Rogue surprise; the uncommon tactic Late
Arrival.
Simple and oh so effective.
This one cost one threshold tactic is the equal to a
rabbit out of the hat. Quite simply, this gives you
the ability to play a character at any time you
could play a tactic by paying 1 more than the
character’s normal cost.
Any card that instructs you to “play a card” is
referring to the portion of the rule book (version
2.2) on “How to Play a Card”. The only cards that
can be played in an instance like this are
non-resource cards. Also, don’t let anyone fool you…
It does not mean you get to play it without paying
anything for it! (That would be “put into play”)
When will we see this played most? I’d say that’s
going to be situational. First to mind is while
defending. Much like one of the guardforce, able to
attack even though it hasn’t been under your control
since the start of your turn, this gives you a
character to block with that your opponent hadn’t
accounted for.
Lastly, don’t forget the last part of this card’s
ability: Draw a card.
After the fun you’ll have playing it, the card
replaces itself. Nice!
In limited, it’s a no-brainer. In constructed, it
might be a back breaker.

Late Addition
Uh, what? Basically it's situational draw by turning
a character into a cantrip? Meh. I'm pretty
apathetic. I'd rather just play Rate Hike, pay one
more, and gain two influence. Even then, Rate Hike
isn't optimal nor effective. I just can't see how
Late Addition is better.
Meh. Nothing I'd really want to play.
