We finish off
the week with another bang. The rare Warlord
character Wyrmfang Deathskull.
I didn’t know who lives in a pineapple under the
sea…do you?
This 7 cost 4 threshold dragon will be the bane of
your opponents. At 6/6/3, he’s a great beat stick.
If his threshold were only 2, he’d be a slightly
stronger Arena Quarterfinalist. He also compares to
the 9 cost 2 threshold Bladefist Doomwing. What is
going to set this unique Wyrmfang apart? An
absolutely amazing and devastating ability.
In a nut shell, as long as Wyrmfang Deathskull is in
play under your control (depleted or not doesn’t
matter), your opponent has to declare blockers
BEFORE your attacking party is formed. Once you see
who your opponent is committing as a defender, you
must attack, but can choose to attack with your
Crazed Deputy (or other weenie) alone instead of
your big nasties. Once you’re happy with the group
of defenders and can abuse the hell out of them AND
can get through some speed 3 or Plodding Brute 2
damage, let’em have it!
Single handedly, Wyrmfang Deathskull will win games.
He will also make himself the biggest target you’ve
ever seen!
In limited, if you have Warlord support, he’s the
card you’re fishing for. In constructed, he’s a
Warlord corner stone.
Limited: 4.5/5
Constructed: 5/5

Wyrmfang Deathskull
Who lives in a Pineapple under the sea...WYRMFAND
DEATHSKULL!!!
This guy should get his own cartoon, he's so cool.
For four rage threshold and a hefty seven cost, this
guy really delivers. He's a BIG character, but
beyond that he's got one of the coolest abilities
I've seen so far in the game.
This card forces your opponent to play differently,
in that they must choose all of their blockers
before anything else can happen. This means gives
you the upper hand in that you will already know
what your opponent has planned for you so that you
can make better informed decisions about the turn.
In Limited, I'd squeal like a Spoiler if I were to
open one, and cry like a baby if it was a Sealed
pool I had to give away. In constructed, he's a big
baddy that just keeps on giving. Your opponent
better be able to kill this guy, or they've got a
rough couple of turns ahead of them.
