We end our week with like we started
it, with a bang. The uncommon Warlord character
Deadly Striker.
For a cost of 4 with a splashable 2
threshold, Deadly Striker’s 4/2/3 is the perfect
one-two punch. When he is destroyed, be it in
battle or via card effect (by choice or necessity),
your opponent’s faction loses 4 influence.
Best case scenario? Deadly Striker
inflicts is 4 points of damage to an opposing
character or characters, dies, and does 4 more
damage that gets through to the faction.
Add this ability to other Warlord
direct damage and pump cards (Dragon’s Strategy,
Bask Bile, Sadistic Colonel, Dragon Juice etc) and
you have a potent burn type deck. Mix in some
Arcanist tactic recursion (Remember, Millipede) or
Banker character recursion (Postmortem, Res
Emporium, Res Technician, Revivitate etc) or both,
and you’re a recycling burning fool!
In limited, he’s a 2 for 1 of sorts
that will be most welcome. In constructed, he’s
begging to be abused.

Deadly Striker
Most likely my favorite Part Two card.
Definetly my favorite Part Two Warlord.
There is just nothing bad about this guy. This is a
card that at the prerelease my friends and I looked
at and said immediatly "That's broken!" Of course,
this guy is not broken. He is just very, very
powerful.
He costs four resources and requires two rage
threshold. He has four strength, two life, and three
speed and has the ability to deal four damage to
your opponent when it is destroyed. One way or
another, this guy is getting in some damage.
He fits well in nearly every Warlord build,
especially when coupled with Dragon's Quarters and
other burn cards. He is a bomb in limited, and a
major threat when he hits the board in constructed.
Most definetly one of the best cards to see print so
far.
