I’ve been
saving this all day… the common Rogue tactic
Ambuscade.
Without a doubt, Ambuscade is a favorite of many The
Spoils players. Well, that is if you play Rogues.
Otherwise… well you get my picture! For a cost of 3
with a near negligible threshold of 1, let the
ambush begin.
When you are attacked, play this tactic, destroy one
of your characters, double its strength and dish out
that much damage to the attacking party.
Anyone remember the old Adam West Batman TV show?
All I can think of is a flash of yellow with the
word “KAPOW!” written in red on the TV screen after
Batman backhands some bad guy! Take that!
Instead of losing your slow and nearly defenseless
character to prevent damage to your Faction, destroy
him yourself and lay a smack down on your opponent’s
attackers. Did they swarm you in an effort to
finally get rid of your Dock Sentinel? “WHAM!” 14
points of off the ropes beat down! What? You managed
a 10/10 Thief Doyen? Ohhhhhh….. gives me shivers
just thinking about it! “KERSPLAT!”
Any way you cut it, Ambuscade can pull your stuff
out of the fire in short form. In limited, you’ll be
thanking The Spoils gods for their benevolence. In
constructed with any Rogue presence, it’s a must
have in quads.
