Today we look
at the (ever so disturbing) rare Warlord item,
Dragon Catheter.
For a cost of 3 with a threshold of 2 this item
gives pump a whole new meaning. At the start of each
of your turns, find the character with the highest
strength in play and give it a token (if there’s a
tie, you pick which gets the token). Every token on
every character is worth +1 strength. And yes, this
is cumulative to any other effects that give bonuses
for tokens on cards. (Bipolar Sarcophyle for
example, already gets +1/+1 for each token, and with
one Dragon Catheter in play each token is now worth
+2/+1.)
Worth noting, this card does not “pick” so no,
Ferrous Ferret wouldn’t get to double dip. Wouldn’t
that be crazy!
For those who like to see connections from one card
to another, check out Dragon Juice and Berserker
Corps.
Lastly, the flavor text:
“Well at least our job is better than the guys who
have to clean up.”
In limited, the chance that you’re going to be
pumping your opponent’s character is probably 50/50.
In constructed, when you’re playing agro beats with
lots of big fatties, this card will only make them
fatter!
