Today we have
more cards coming out of the discard pile with the
Arcanist Tactic Remember.
Talk about limitless possibilities! For a cost of 3
with only 1 threshold, Remember is much like
yesterday’s card Postmortem Debenture. For all
intents and purposes, Remember can be 4 more of your
favorite Tactic card or a discard pile tutor for the
Tactic you need in any given situation.
Paired with the lowest cost Tactics to better able
you to play the returned card the same turn you play
Remember, I give you these possibilities: Ritual of
the Screaming Cheese (for a total cost of 5 they
choose 4 to discard or randomly lose 2..or a combo),
Postmortem Debenture (for a cost of 3 get 2
Characters back into your hand), Meager Research
(for a cost of 5 your opponent gets 2 random cards,
you tutor for the 2 you want of the types he gets),
Research Investment (for a cost of 3 you (and your
opponent) get 6 resources from your deck into play),
Yoink! (for a cost of 5 you get 2 items), Bask Bomb
(for a cost of 3 and the loss of 2 Characters, blow
up a BUNCH of defending Characters).
All well worth it!
In limited, you’re always looking for multiples of
great cards. In constructed, you can tech in fewer
copies of various Tactics and be better prepared for
all situations.

Remember is
to tactics what Postmortem Debenture is to
characters except it has a value greater than zero
in the upper left corner. How much of a difference
can three resources make?
A whole heck of a lot it turns out. Two things make
Remember inferior to Postmortem Debenture. 1. It has
a real cost and 2. its for tactics. The cost is an
obvious inferiority, the tactic vs. character
situation isn't as clear. While it is hypothetically
possible to win with tactics alone, it would be
very, very hard and require an obedient opponent as
well as the luck of the gods. While you can get
important cards such as character destruction it
simply isn't as useful as Postmortem Debenture. In
constructed it will help you recover one of tactics,
such as the bomb tactics, that have been lost to
mill or discard. Beyond that...
