King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Toon Page-Flip would’ve been useful and broken when toons first were released. Quick-Play grants either turn capability, something toons haven’t had access to. This card makes those terrible monsters you didn’t want to run in the deck playable and the big ones you want to run even more playable. “ignoring it’s Summoning conditions” are the four most beautiful words a toon player can see in a card for their archetype. Pick your three boss toon monsters and your opponent is doomed. Cards like Toon Barrel Dragon and Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon become far better now that you don’t have to jump through hoops to get to them. Cards like Toon Ancient Gar Golem, Toon Dark Magician and Red-Eyes Toon Dragon become even better as they are the best high-level toons. This card helps bypass not only summoning restrictions, but as a Quick-Play you can use it at your opponent’s End Phase to get to a toon and have it set to attack next turn. In a pinch it will get you a toon on the field so other toons can Special Summon themselves or meet the requirements for their Infirnity Barrier of a trap card: Terror Toon. This is a card that gives the Toon archetype offensive and defensive power as well as circumvents the issues that held them back all this time. While it isn’t the greatest fix, and it is “once per turn”, it is a tremendous asset to the archetype. Advanced-4/5 Art-4/5 Until Next Time |
Crunch$G We now got a way to cheat out some of the bigger Toons with Toon Page-Flip. Page-Flip is a Quick-Play Spell with the lone effect that if you control Toon World, you reveal 3 Toons in your Deck with different names for the opponent to randomly pick one for your to Special Summon, ignoring summoning conditions, while the rest shuffle into the Deck. Great way to get to your bigger Toon monsters like Toon Dark Magician, Red-Eyes, or Black Luster Soldier. You can even cheat out the old Toons like Dark Magician Girl, Summoned Skull, and Blue-Eyes and even summon Ancient Gear Golem I’m sure. You could also get your Level 4s off this, but that feels like a waste since they’re easy to summon with them all being Normal Summons and having Harpie Lady and Mermaid to Special Summon. This card is a hard once per turn, mostly so you don’t spam out big Toons to eventually make a massive direct attack. It’s a great piece for Toons to help get your bosses out, worth having a few copies of this. Advanced Rating: 4/5 Art: 4.25/5 Nice to see Toon World and Shine Palace on the same art. |
Alex Searcy Toon Page Flip is a simple but effective Magic card. This essentially reads you choose 3 Toons to show your opponent and they choose one you get to Special Summon. It should be a high level, multiple Tribute Monster, to be most beneficial to you.
You could use Level 4s but that’s wasteful as if you’re not getting free Summons around not Tributing, you’re doing it wrong. The chosen cards have to be differently named and the remaining two go back to your Deck after.
This is great. It should always help you gain Field presence and advantage while dropping something big. An honest and quite good card here for a Toon player.
