Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead. While this card is equipped to a monster: You can banish this Equip Card; equip 1 Level 4 or lower appropriate Union monster from your Deck to the monster this card was equipped to. You can only use this effect of “Union Driver” once per turn.

 Crunch$G Next up this week is a new piece of support meant for Unions, specifically ABC: Union Driver. Union Driver is a Level 5 LIGHT Machine Union with 2100 ATK and 1000 DEF. Fine stats on Level 5, LIGHT and Machine are great, and being a Union is pretty cool to work with Union Hangar. It has all your standard Union stuff where it equips to any monster you control or can unequip and Special Summon itself, of course not both in the same turn. While this card is equipped to a monster, you can banish this card to take the monster it was equipped to and equip it with an appropriate Level 4 or lower Union Monster from Deck. The nice thing here is that the new Union you equip can be summoned, meaning you can bypass the restriction on Union Hangar or Union Carrier to get this on an ABC piece to then banish it to equip your monster with another ABC piece to summon it for an Xyz or Link Summon. Being a Level 5 does make it somewhat of a brick, though, but summoning it does give you another option to Xyz Summon Cyber Dragon Nova into Infinity. It’s a good card for ABC, even if bricky at times. Throw a copy in because it can easily help you combo off by ignoring the restriction on Union Hangar after it equips.  Alex Searcy So, as the name suggests, Union Driver is support for Unions Level 5, Light/Machine, meh stats at 2100/1000. This card isn’t bad but it seems unnecessary. Support is good Even after all these years, the Union pool isn’t large If it’s not ABC (or maybe other alphabet related antics) you’re probably not interested or using (or perhaps ever heard of) them anyway And this card does necessary and maybe even good things But it doesn’t do anything new or special enough that would make me (or should make you) want to play Unions Especially if you’re thinking about them outside ABC Which I don’t mean rudely. The Special Summon and attach cycle is here as it should be. But maybe if more or new things were involved we’d be inspired It sacrifices itself in the Union way too.
