Virtual World Gate – Chuche – #PHRA-EN072
You can target 1 face-up card on the field; shuffle 2 of your banished “Virtual World” cards with different names from each other into the Deck, then destroy that card. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 “Virtual World” monster you control; increase or decrease its Level/Rank by 3 until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of “Virtual World Gate – Chuche” once per turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Virtual World Gate – Chuche I mentioned yesterday and is the one trap I’m seeing in Virtual World decks that is part of the archetype.
Cycle back some banished Virtual World cards by targeting a face-up card on the field. Target any card (even itself), cycle back two of your Virtual World card, then blow up Chuche. Simple, serves its purpose. The Level/Rank boost by three works with the theme of the deck and can help you get to those Level 9 Synchro plays if you don’t have any Level 6 monsters available. The VFD plays aside, you can also use the Level/Rank boost to go for stuff like Level/Rank 6 plays or even a Synchro 12 play. Something else, although I’m not sure how much you’d see it, you could use Chuche alongside a Virtual World monster to boost it to Level 6 and use it alongside Gamma for a Synchro 8, though with Gamma on the field you’ll have Driver and a Level 9 Synchro opportunity, but that doesn’t mean that you might not want to go Level 8, the fact that you can with this card is an added plus.

From one gate to another, we got one that actually does something on the opponent’s turn: Virtual World Gate – Chuche.
Chuche is a Continuous Trap that lets you target a face-up card on the field and shuffle 2 of your banished VW cards with different names into the Deck to destroy the targeted card. VW doesn’t have too much of an issue banishing their cards and having an option to do something on the opponent’s turn besides activate VFD is pretty good. It’s also fine to pop your own cards every once in a while if needed, which I know some VW combos do like using Chaofeng for its search. The graveyard effect lets you banish this card from the graveyard to target a VW monster and either increase or decrease it’s Level/Rank by 3, helping you move from 3 to 6 to 9 and vice versa with greater ease if you need, which is a main way to help the Deck summon a VFD or two. Each effect again is a hard once per turn, which is fine. While yesterday’s Gate was certainly better in the graveyard, this one is better either in grave or on field, which can be activated instantly with Kawloon, so that’s a positive. It’s pretty solid.

Virtual World Gate-Chuche is a Continuous Trap that is a nice compliment to the Theme, as well as our review from yesterday. Targeting a face up card in the Field to recycle to if your removed Theme cards that were removed from play back to your Deck is great. We appreciate getting resources back. Destroying the card you Target with this effect is good too, and there being no limitation on the card type or who owns is another win. Rid the Field of something you can’t at present as well as being able to send something if yours to the Grave for other plays if your own is helpful also. Removing this from play lets you play Level Manipulation, increasing it decreasing its Level or Rank by 3. Opening up numerous Extra Deck plays for the Theme. Another nicely oriented combo piece without being broken.
