Hello Pojo Fans,
Virtual World Gate – Qinglong is a great piece of disruption and searching for Virtual World.
Being a Continuous Spell in this deck helps the Virtual World Monsters to target things so they can Special Summon themselves. Banish a Virtual World card from your grave for an effect negation ability would’ve been better had it been a Quick-Effect, but it is still good to lock down certain monsters or force out once per turn negations. A 1-for-1 while in the grave, banishing Qinglong to search a Virtual World monster from the deck. You have to send a card from your hand to the grave, but that could be a copy of something you don’t need or something you want in the grave to set up for next turn. You run almost a playset of every Main Deck monster, Spell, and Trap, so you likely are to have copies to feed this discard, and if they are banished, Chuche can cycle them back into the deck.
Arguably, the negation is the best part of Qinglong is the negation. It adds a layer of protection that is integrated within the archetype rather than through tech cards like Impermanence.

We now get to the VW Gate cards, which are key to the Deck considering you want Spells and Traps for your VW effects, and we probably have your best card to send to the graveyard from any VW: Virtual World Gate – Qinglong.
Qinglong is a Continuous Spell with the effect to banish a Virtual World card from your graveyard to target a face-up monster on the field and negate its effects for the rest of the turn, even if this card leaves the field. It’s a fine effect, just something you’d prefer on a Trap to make a Quick Effect to use on the opponent’s turn. It can force out certain effects at least, but its use is more niche when it isn’t a Quick Effect. The graveyard effect lets you banish this card from the graveyard to search the Deck for any Virtual World monster and then you discard a card from the hand to the graveyard. Good to get to any of your VW names you’re missing to continue combos while at the same time putting certain cards you want in the grave like the other VW Gates or Nyannyan to get her graveyard effect off. Each effects are hard once per turns, which is something you’d expect to see, and it’s fine. You do want the Spell names in VW certainly since you’ll need to send a Spell every once in a while, and this is better to send than Virtual World City – Kwaloon since that doesn’t have a grave effect. It’s a fine card, we just need a 2nd Spell Gate so we can get more effects in grave.

I forced myself to find time to do a review, at least for today, and I plan to be here more regularly again. Today we look at a Continuous Magic card for the Virtual Gate theme: Qinglong. Each effect here is once per turn, starting with the ability to remove a Theme card from your Graveyard from play to negate the effect(s) of a Monster on the Field for the Turn. Negation is everything, and sure, this is a nice effect to see. Being on a Continuous Magic means it’s not the quickest effect out there. A Trap or Quick effect means it gets your opponent on their Turn, while this doesn’t. But something is better than nothing. Just knock this Monster out on your Turn. Removing this card from your Grave from play let’s you add a Theme Monster from your Deck to your Hand and then discard a card. Nice little search, even if it’s limited only to Monsters. The discard is a fairly moot point, as it keeps things even and honest. Solid card without being broken. Room for improvement, sure, but could be much worse.
