Bizzaro – Imperfect
Duplicate
It is week 3 and this week we are moving onto
Revenge Squad. For this week I have chosen all
rares, but don’t be too discouraged. I chose
cards that fit the category of a good
situational card. First up for the team is
Bizzaro – Imperfect Duplicate.
On the surface Bizzaro looks a lot like a Mr.
Fantastic or a Killer Croc. He is a 7/10 for a
5-drop, which means that this guy was built for
defense. However, with flight and range, this
character already appears a little more
promising when it comes to having the
initiative. This guy has a really great effect,
which definitely makes him stand out from other
RS characters. By discarding a Revenge Squad
character card from your hand, you can switch
this character’s attack and defense. Now that’s
versatility! If there is one thing I love in any
card game it is versatility. There really is
never a time when you wouldn’t want to recruit
this character on turn 5.
In most decks (mine included) you tend to have
two different characters for each drop. One
character is used for cases when you have
initiative at a particular drop and the other is
for when you do not. This allows you to be more
consistent in your games and helps to curtail
significant BEL. Now if you are like me (and
have no luck) then you tend to get the wrong
character for your drop. However, this character
tends to help fix that. Now, if I really need to
take out an opponent’s character all I have to
do is discard a RS character and voila! No more
weak 5-drop. Also, if I do not have initiative
and I know that I am going to get stunned
anyway, I will definitely use this character’s
effect to try to stun my opponent’s character
back. Hey, if I am going down, I am taking my
opponent with me. In a dog-eat-dog game it is
always nice to have a trick or two up your
sleeve.
Ratings:
RS constructed deck – 4.0/5.0 ...As far 5-drop
RS characters go this and Mongul should make it
into your deck.
Limited – 3.0/5.0 ...You will probably not have
enough RS characters to make Bizzaro’s effect
work, but he still provides a nice wall.

Bizzaro - Imperfect
Duplicate
Me am liking Bizarro. 7/10 for a 5 drop is
decent, and 10/7 for a 5 drop is decent. Having
the ability to choose which he is is very
decent. Discarding a character is a little
steep, but his versatility makes him a must-have
for anybody running Revenge Squad.
Flight and range lets him pick his targets, and
if you have the initiative on turn 5, you can
easily knock off one of your opponent's
characters, then have Bizarro sit back and act
as a wall for the rest of your guys. Mongul is
still a little better 5 drop, which one you play
will depend on your situation at the time. Also,
the backwards printing is a good sign that the
sense of fun is alive and kicking at UDE.
(Speaking of fun, check out the effect of
Bizarro
World)
In Limited, his team stamped ability can get in
the way, and Mongul becomes a much better pick
at 5 thanks to his Boost ability. Still,
characters with both flight and range are
nothing to sneeze at, so Bizarro is definitely a
draftable rare.
