Mr. Fantastic
- Leader
Today we are going to look at the new 7-drop Mr.
Fantastic from the new starter decks.
Mr. Fantastic is your average 7-drop character
with 15/15 stats and range. His ability to give
other F4 characters 1/1 is nice, especially if
you are running a F4 Toys deck, but I am not
sure if he will take the place of 7-drop Thing.
As far as CE is concerned, this character will
probably not see play. After all, space is tight
and Thing or Sub Mariner are much better
choices. Unlike his starter deck counter-part
(Dr. Doom), I really can't see a place where
this character will stand out. I guess only time
will tell?.
Ratings:
MMA - 1
GA constructed - 2.5/5.0 - This guy is no Thing,
but he might just be a good alternative.
Limited - 2.5/5.0 - He is not as good as Doom,
but considering you only have 2 7-drops, he
might be worth while.

Mr.
Fantastic, Leader
Well, just yesterday I was extolling the virtues
of 7 drop Thing, and now here's another 7 drop
for FF that won't see much play because of it.
Simply put, FF not only has a 7 drop that is
better, but they also have a
7 drop Mr. Fantastic that is better. Leader is a
15/15 that gives other FF characters +1/+1.
Scientific Genius can search your deck for a
Fantasticar and equip it for free. That would
make him a 15/15 that gives all your other FF
characters
+1/+1...and gives all of your characters flight.
You
can also drop any piece of equipment you have in
your hand for free, or until they make a 3 cost
equipment anyway. If you can't even be the best
version of yourself at a particular drop (see:
Spoiler, Wildcard), then you aren't seeing the
inside of my deck.

Mr.
Fantastic, Leader
Number: MFF-007
Rarity: Rare-Extended Art Holo
Card Type: Character
Cost: 7
Team: Fantastic Four
Attack: 15
Defense: 15
Range: Yes
Flight: No
Other Fantastic Four Characters you control get
+1 ATK and +1 DEF.
Cost: 7
Good stats and effect for his cost.
ATK/DEF: 15/15
Adverage for this cost. Nothing special.
Range/Flight: Range
All versions of Mr. F have range, giving him the
on-field flexability that is also his special
power.
Effect:
A +1/+1 boost for the other already powerful FF
teammates.
Team Affiliation: Fantastic Four
The FF team boasts most of the powerhouse
characters of the game. FF can stand alone, or
team up with another team to boost their
strength. One of the most playable teams that
exist.
Overall:
As I've already stated, the F4 team has many
strong characters such as Wolverine, Thing-Heavy
Hitter, Hulk, Thing-Ever Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing
and Silver Surfer. They also have the
Fantasticar, which gives a +1/+1 boost and
flight to all F4 team members. Mr. Fantastic,
Leader's ability just adds insult to injury.
It's ok, but usually not needed in a F4 deck.
3.0/5.0
Modern Age:
His effect is only good in a F4 deck, or a F4+?
team deck. He's ok, but Magneto still rules the
7-cost slot.
3.0/5.0
Golden Age:
NON-APPLICABLE IN THIS FORMAT.
But 3.0/5.0 for his potential.
Limited:
Big is Big here, so take him if you don't get
Dr. Doom, Scientific Sorcerer.
3.0/5.0
