Ahhh, Nasty Surprise…how we love thee. Ok maybe
that is a little hokey but I can’t help it. This
card is one that can make a huge difference in
many games and can fit in any deck. After all,
it gives your defending character a +5 attack.
If you are running any sort of deck that relies
on getting small characters on the field (i.e.
TNB, TT, etc.) then this card should be in your
deck. After all on turns when you don’t have
initiative it is nice to be able to still stun
your opponent’s characters.
Bottom Line: Just because Overload is banned
doesn’t mean this card should be kicked to the
curve.
Ratings:
MMA constructed – n/a
GA constructed – 4.5/5.0 ….There will hardly
ever be a time when this card won’t be handy.
Limited – 5.0/5.0 …This card is just sick in
this format.
Today's card is an oldy but goody. The text is
pretty simple; However id say this card, were it
a movie, would be DVD bonus materiel (Good
enough to make the bonus disk but not the actual
movie.) MOre often than not I start with this
card as im making a deck but by the time I am
done it gets removed for lack of space.
The best decks to run this in are decks where
your characters have above average def and below
avg attacks. Your opponent will attack thinking
they can get you without being stunned back and
then you spring this on them.
Most decks that have avg/ to above average
attacks wont need to run this card as they will
counter stun most of the time. The decks this
card will benefit the most against are lost city
brotherhood decks and sentinel decks.
All said, its an average card. if you have room
its a good filler, but often times you will run
out of room first.

this attack.

Usable form the start. Woo-Hoo!
Ongoing: No
Oh well, with a boost like this, once is usually
enough.
Effect:
Make your oppoent suffer for attacking by
boosting your character's ATK by 5, which is the
highest ATK boost generally available.
Team Affiliation: None
Usable in any deck. 'Nuff said.
Overall:
I'll be blunt, this is one of my favorite cards,
and you can see why.
For those unable to get any copies of Savage
Beatdown, this is a good, if backwards in use,
substitute. With Overload banned, this card's a
real killer!
