Injustice
Gang Satellite
This week I thought that I would take a moment
and look at some of the locations from the new
JLA set and see how they stack up. To start,
let's take a look at a location specific for
Injustice Gang - Injustice Gang Satellite.
Injustice Gang Satellite is one of those cards
that is a must provided you decide to play
Injustice Gang. Since Injustice Gang is all
about loading up your opponent's hand, you can
see the potential in a card that allows you to
discard a IG character to KO a target stunned
character with cost less than or equal to the
number of cards in your opponent's hand. Of
course this card does have some bad drawbacks
considering it is a rare. For instance, it has a
threshold of 4 so you can forget about early
game advantage. Also you have to activate this
location so it prevents location abuse - not to
mention it only targets stunned characters.
Personally I am not a big fan of Injustice Gang,
so I am not the type to look favorably upon this
card. Sure it allows the chance for a little
board control and late in the game that can be
great, but considering this card is a rare it
definitely could have been a better-designed
card.
Ratings:
DCMA constructed - 3.0/5.0 -This card can come
in handy, but I doubt IG will be making the cut
in this format in general
GA constructed - 2.5/5.0 -I definitely wouldn't
play this team in this format, much less this
card.
Limited - 1.5/5.0 -Granted you may get IG
characters in this format, but this card will do
very little if you can't load up your opponent's
hand.

Activate, discard Injustice Gang character
card-->KO target stunned character with cost
less than or equal to the number of cards in its
controller's hand.
This is a card that will be either very good or
very poor. I have yet to see it in action, so I
am not sure hwo well it will work. The soonest
you could use this is turn 4, but that's usually
about the earliest you would want to. By turn 4
most people only have 4-5 cards in hand, so I
don't see this dooing much good beyond round 5
(Although there are a few deck types that love
to feed the hand, making this card all the more
powerful. Being able to kill their 4 and 5 drops
can definately swing the game in your favor as
that's when the numbers game really kicks into a
match. But once this is revealed it generally is
not hard to manage your hand to get it under 5
cards without misusing cards, and making this
card a waste of space.
This card most definately has potential. Run it
in your IG deck, but also pay attention to what
decks are being played in your area. I would
suggest testing this card in your area and with
your play style before trading away your life to
get four of them. Not a lot of gray. It'll
either be really good or really bad.
