Electric Eve
- Live Wire
The last card for this week's Burn 'Em theme
revolves around the character burn aspect. Today
we are going to take a look at Electric Eve.
Electric Eve is unique simply because she a
character with evasion, whose effect triggers
when she recovers. As far as the burn aspect
goes, I feel this character is definitely a must
as you can use her to attack, evade (if she does
not get stunned), and burn your opponent for 1
when she recovers. Not to mention the fact that
characters with evasion can help you in
maintaining board presence and you can KO her
later when she is no longer useful (Die for
Darkseid!). While the burn deck from the 10K
only ran 3 of this character, I would definitely
try to fit in 4 if possible. After all a
character this versatile can't be all that
bad....
Ratings:
MMA constructed - 3.0/5.0 ...Eve's
evasion/ability makes her useful, however her
team affiliation isn't exactly tier 1 status
GA constructed - 3.5/5.0 ...This character is
extremely useful during the early game in a burn
deck
Limited - 3.5/5.0 ...This character comes in
handy as it allows you to get in a couple of
quick shots at your opponent. |

Electric Eve
We're wrapping up this week with Electric Eve, a
surprisingly playable 1-drop. 2/1 is pretty good
for a 1-drop, especially without a drawback.
Evasion enables all of the Morlocks tricks, and
an extra point of burn every time she recovers
puts you just that much closer to getting the
opponent to 0. Her Energy trait lets you exhaust
her for The Evil Eye, then you can Evade her,
recover her automatically at the beginning of
the recovery phase, then Evade her again, then
have her be your free recovery during wrap-up.
That's 7 points of damage from a 1-drop (and a
plot twist).
High Voltage might not translate well to Silver
Age, and with Morlocks not making a huge splash
in Modern (what's left of it), Electric Eve may
not find her way into a lot of other decks.
Still, if Energy burn finds a way to be
competitive in Silver, then Eve will be a 4-of
in that deck.
She's pretty good in Sealed too, although when
drafting Morlocks, Artie is the 1-drop of
choice.
However, if you're forced to underdrop, Electric
Eve is a pretty good choice.
