AirWalker
Basics: A great cosmic effect and a beefy
defense makes this a must for any HOG deck.
Constructed play: The key to this card is to
play it in a mono-Heralds deck. The loyalty
requirements for this card make it a little too
risky to be playing in a variation deck and
there would be much of a point anyways as this
card fits perfectly into the main them of
Heralds - stall, stall, stall. Since it has a 6
defense, this card usually lasts about two
turns, which is more than enough time to really
screw up your opponent's strategy a bit. This is
especially true if you opponent misses their
lower drops. Of course if you are up against a
deck that plays a complete curve (1-...) this
card won't net you much, but it is still fun
nonetheless.
Limited play: This is an awesome card to play in
this set. Loyalty sucks, but then again this
character is rare anyways so you don't stand
much of a chance of getting it anyways. If you
are lucky enough to get it, definitely try to
make it work....I have a feeling you won't be
sorry.
Ratings:
MMA constructed - 4.0/5.0 ...Yes, it is that
important in a HOG deck.
GA constructed - 3.5/5.0 ...More weenie decks to
worry about in this format.
Limited - 3.0/5.0 ....This is a great card but
it does have loyalty issues.

Air-Walker,
Gabriel Lan
Well, it look's like we're going to take one
last find look at Heralds of Galactus before
diving in to Legion of Superheroes, so let's get
started. Today's card is so good, it was the
participation EA at PC LA.
Air-Walker has a Puppet Master effect, but
limited to the combat phase. To make up for it,
he's got a 6 DEF, which just about guarantees
that he'll be around for multiple turns, and be
able to keep his cosmic counter too. Loyalty
keeps him from being splashy, and you'll want to
keep some Heralds buddies around anyway, in case
you want an easier way to replace a lost
counter. He's a pretty good card, especially in
the stall-crazy environment we're entering into.
