Strategic
Retreat
Basics: Remember how I said for Nega Bomb, the
idea is to get all your Kree characters off the
board before it resolves? Well this is one way
of doing just that. Strategic Retreat is the
Kree PT that allows you to return all of your
Kree characters to your hand. Of course it does
have a 4 threshold cost and you can only play it
from your resource row during the combat phase,
but this isn't going to be too big of a concern.
Constructed play: This card is all about
constructed play. It is basically made for one
of three reasons - 1. CYA, 2. press, 3. Nega
Bomb. Regardless it belongs in a Kree deck. Now
the number of Strategic Retreats that belong in
a Kree deck varies according to the deck
strategy you are going for. This is something
you are going to want to experiment with.
Limited play: This card is not so handy in this
format. After all Nega Bomb is out of the
question and press is extremely tricky in this
format. You can use it for Live Kree or Die, but
that is a lot to ask for. It is better to save
the spot in your deck for something more
useful/versatile.
Ratings:
MMA constructed - 3.0/5.0 ...This card's useful
depends on the type of deck you put it into.
GA constructed - 3.0/5.0 ...ditto
Limited - 1.5/5.0 ...If you have quite a few
Kree characters, you can still use this card to
cya.

"Run away!"
Today we look at Strategic Retreat, a card no
Kree Press deck should be without.
Strategic Retreat
Plot Twist
4 threshold
Rarity: Rare
Play Strategic Retreat only from your resource
row and only during the combat phase.
Return all Kree characters you control to their
owners' hands.
Strategic Retreat's effect is pretty
straightforward. Scoop up your Kree characters
back to your hand. This card is necessary
because after the bloodbath of your attacking or
defending is over, you need a lot, if not all
the characters you recruited back so you can
Press them all out again for the next turn. It's
great to stop any pesky Finishing Moves, Removed
from Continuities, etc. that your opponent may
try to use on you as well. Bottom line is, you
play this in any Kree deck.
All formats: Bring everyone back for more fun
the next turn. 4/5
Sealed/Draft: Can't see how effective it would
be, if you can get two good Press turns on 5 and
6, that should be game against your opponent.
Constructing a deck that can do that however, is
another story. 2/5
